Chubby’s makes an excusable green to pour over a good, greasy burrito, but there’s nothing in the Front Range that can compare to the average green chile from South of Trinidad. For rellenos I always liked Las Delicias (downtown) but they still aren’t as good as NM. Denver has much better Thai and much better pizza

Having lived and traveled in both places (Denver is still home for me) I can assure you, green chile is a very New Mexican thing. What’s available in Denver is more of a sauce (tends to be much thinner and used as a “smothering”) whereas in New Mexico it’s chunkier and can be used as a condiment, as a side or as an

I SOOOOOOO miss Bonnie Brae ice cream! Used to drive past there during the summer and could smell the butter-fat in the ice cream from the street. Delicious! I’d have to add Beau Jo’s into the mix, even replacing Casa Bonita, just cause I’m jonesing for a mountain pie. But Tattered Cover is like mecca and if you hit

you’d be amazed how far shit will travel in aerosol form...

That really smells like poop.

I design large aircraft cabin interiors, and I can tell you those things aren’t cleaned worth a damn. If you want some truly horrific imagary I have some photos of behind the toilet shroud, you’d be amazed how far shit will travel in aerosol form...

Ha, I always assumed Casa Bonita was just something they made up so Cartman could whine about it. Definitely want to find my way back to CO now that I’m old enough to appreciate its various bounties.

Sports do nothing for me. Neither does Coors Field (although I did see the Rockies play during their inaugural year at Mile High). I haven’t tried La Loma, but don’t you challenge NM on green chili.

1. You Get Obsessive In The Wrong Ways: You can’t take the sky from me, I swear just give me a couple decades and an old USSR Reactor, and I could get a Firefly working, I promise!

Not quite the same thing, but there are also the shows and books you deliberately avoid revisiting because you loved them dearly once and don’t want to tarnish those golden memories by discovering that they haven’t aged well or that your tastes have changed over the years.

Hello, Dark Shadows, Doc Savage novels, Edgar

I would skip Casa Bonita (really not worth the hype) and Coors field, and spend a couple days in Breckenridge. I love Breckenridge. CO is great road trip country. I really want to get to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison one of these days.

Official list, people! Reply to Supernumerary. I’ll start - The X-Files. WHO THE HELL IS THIS DOGGETT PERSON? HUH? I don’t even know you anymore.

Okay, now I want to hear about all the fandoms everyone has fallen out of love with.

If you’re going to be in the Southwest I would definitely recommend hitting Carlsbad Caverns.
