You’re missing the obvious and best... the comics.

Have you watched Footloose recently? Oh how we hate absolutes... I’m not saying domestic abuse and women getting beaten up wasn’t an issue back then, the point was using our understanding/development levels now to retroactively apply to the past is not correct. If you took our current understanding and looked at

If Millennials are guilty of anything, and I work with Millennials and Zs, is that they won’t/can’t contextualize... history is by and large their weakest subject. Retro-labeling this is a bit unfair to King. Contrast this scene, and the intent behind it, with Footloose. Yes, Footloose where Ariel literally has the

This show will never get made. “Mirror-Mirror” in Star Trek worked because we had a solid foundation of Federation ethics and who Kirk/Spock were as leaders first, before we saw the Enterprise of an alternate universe. A show without a moral foundation like that to contrast against (and certainly our United States

Bummed by Golden Compass, such amazing books.

I don’t think that’s Charles being handled by giant Apocalypse, but rather Quicksilver.

Sony and Microsoft coming together in bliss.

My response to this argument has always been, then why not build something new or find relevant material? If it’s just the name “Star Trek” and the characters it’s like having a complete toy set and playing with the toys, but telling a completely irreverent story... In other words, if you ignore the very thing that

Dangerous times 1966-1980

The Expanse is the best “Star Trek” anything since DS9. Especially the episode featuring Jean Yoon as Captain Theresa Yao of the Donnager. That one episode was more “Trek” than anything J.J. has done in two movies (probably a third) and shows what discipline can get you.

That’s dangerous ground Marco... challenging a grad major’s assumptions beliefs scientific understanding of how it all works is like telling a Buddhist monk she shaved her head for nothing or a technologist that technology can’t solve everything.
