Clearly subjective, as I'd have Snape and Varys higher on this list... Bourne is so good in the books that he should be way higher. There's no Little Finger, but the most glaring character missing from this list...

I actually liked that episode, but then again I was a cultural anth major.
I think she thinks he's bald and prideful and so doesn't touch it.
Totally. It's the unrelenting and unstoppable nature of it. The first Terminator turns into a "zombie" like create at the end of the movie and that was terrifying. It's like Pepe Le Pew... also a zombie.
This is really good news. The best character in the MU is back home, kinda, but hopefully Sony has learned their lesson that they had done critical damage to a hot property and needed help. Wonder if this was in the works before the SonyFlappa? There's a part of me that believes it was not really about The Interview…
Sharing this with every class I teach from this point on! Thank you! Seriously. Thank you.
Interesting. I was thinking Sucker Punch was the avatar of this film, but The Fifth Element is much closer in style and feel. Sucker Punch at least was dealing with disassociation and PTSD and this is more like The Fifth Element... just meant to be a fun ride. I really like The Fifth Element, this not so much.
Loved the ambition, the visuals, but this movie is a hot mess. There's a moment when this movie slips into Terry's "Brazil" and I wish it would have stayed there. I think Balem was spliced with a cocker spaniel... what was with the random barking? Down boy. My main complaint... if you're not going to use comparative…
Thanks for this. Growing up my dad worked for Simon and Shuster and they had the Timescape imprint and each month a big box of books would show up at the front door: Wolfe, Vance, Paxson, Bester, Pournelle, Pohl, Niven, Martin... There is something deeply special about a SciFi paperback. Best format ever.
How would the Singularity view humanity? We're deeply flawed beings who lie constantly, have often destructive "reptilian" impulses, operate primarily by fear and greed, and have an operating system called "ego" that is buggy and viral ridden and yet somehow, year after year, we manage to fight entropy and improve…

Awesome!
Really enjoyed the interview, thank you Lauren. I agree with much that has been said... I wrote my "10 Ways to Make the 'Wonder Woman' Film Awesome" before this, but it just furthers my thinking on it and confirms a few things. I hope Michelle MacLaren reads Noah's book. http://www.hollywoodintoto.com/10-ways-make-w…
You dq'd teleportation by the rule set; doesn't have to be ripping a hole in time/space. By far my preferred superpower, if that rule is removed. Paris in the morning for breakfast, afternoon lunch Thailand, surfs up in SoCal, then evening wherever it's dark and quiet. No more airplanes. No more road trips. If you can…
Moltar, I have a giant brain, that is able to reduce any complex machine into a simple yes or no answer. 20! Yes!
It's Spock and Kirk. Reason and Faith. The Twin Pillars of Humanity. We need both faith and reason. Faith is not the enemy of science, ignorance is the enemy of science. Science is not the enemy of faith, fear is the enemy of faith. I live near the "Boulder Bubble" and I'd add one more... that science is the puppet of…
In the new trailer they hint that Cap has a shot, so why not Barry Allen? I've never been a Marvel fan and forget those details.
I'm still processing the "hats" in Star Trek... they'll be dozens of the little idiosyncratic things like this that take you out of the story. I'm not getting excited until I walk out of the theater and want to turn around and see it again.
What happens next? A sonic boom blows across the pool hall as Flash, whose felt the vibrations of the increasing tension all night, and while the beer is still flowing out of the tipped glass, grabs Mjölnir and the Cap's shield and heads out into the desert night to bury them. Superman turns and flies straight at Thor…
