About non-playable races being referred to as “Beast Tribes”, I want to elucidate on that. Beast tribe, in-universe, is an arbitrary racist term used in Eorzea (where the first few bits of the game take place) created by the sultanate of Ul’dah to expel Qiqirn traders from its borders; the others city states in the

”nothing is true, everything is permitted”

There is one lieutenant that actually changes something in another quest: Roxana. If you manage to recruit her before a side quest involving Barnabas’ nephew, the outcome of the quest is different and you get some extra scenes with her. These are, btw, completely unrelated quests.

I’m pretty sure they spawn even before you know who they are. Theoretically you can go on a murder spree and end up killing a cultist.

2 is worse than DmC but that's like saying getting stabbed by a rusty nail is worse than getting stabbed by a clean nail.

I originally played AC for the intriguing AU/secret past narrative. Then they retconned the fuck out of pre-established plots, their main creative director kept changing and they kept important pieces of information behind a 10 USD puzzle DLC.
