Yeah they were clearly moving more and more towards ‘we’re just a store’ for awhile now which is really disappointing. 15% is better than nothing but it’s still shitty to see them go that way. Sad, but not surprising, to see the heart and soul got lost over the course of changing hands.

man.. i’d get if it’s like.. a 50% cap.. but 15? that’s definitely killing the goodwill vibe they originally set up. Maybe they should rebrand themselves and Bundle Bundle and leave it at that. then the expectations can be re-set.

I have a feeling without this change Humble would not be long for this world.   Donati g almost everything to charity is great but it doesn't keep the lights on.   I still prefer them to over stores donating nothing to charity.

The writing was on the wall when Ziff Davis acquired them in 2017. Kind of surprised it took them this long to greed it up, tbh. Were probably waiting for all of us to forget they were acquired by a megaconglomerate so that we wouldn’t associate the shitty policy changes with the acquisition. Didn’t forget!

The sliders were also useful for spite purchases - buying a game from a particularly offensive developer but sliding alllllll the profit to charity.  I’m going to miss that.

No the article didn’t say that, but unlike you I don’t expect all the facts to be presented on Root articles. There was another student and nobody went in with guns drawn

Its a school restroom. Decent chance that there’s other students in there with him. But yeah, let’s let it play out.

“Sorry I got caught trying to protect my daughter from a physically abusive partner?” The fuck are you on about?

No it isn’t. Stop being a fucking cunt, you fucking cunt.

How do you de-escalate when someone have a gun? I don’t know the whole issues because I was not in that restroom, so I am not going to say who is right and wrong. However, if its true that teen had a gun, I believe the mom did the right thing, because there are two - three negative outcome to this, one the teen with

You are completely misunderstanding the whole point of the Gamestop pumping that was done by Reddit folks.

I wish I could get paid to run a company into the ground, declare bankruptcy multiple times and then quit. That seems like a cushy deal.

meanwhile, I resign from Gamestop and get a “can you work weekends at least?” from the manager.

I bet he could’ve gotten more in trade-in credit.

I quit GameStop years ago! Where’s my motherfucking money?!?!

He’s getting $179m not just for quitting. He’s getting $179m despite running the company he was responsible for straight into the ground. And, oh, by the way, he’ll move right on to another high-paid executive job where he will proceed to run that company straight into the ground.

Really? No. That would be Final Fantasy.
Tales games or no where near as angsty or angst driven as most FF games or similar JRPGS.

Are Tales of Games known for their angst? I’ve only played Symphonia, a quarter of the way through Vesperia, a quarter of the way through Berseria, and outside of Velvet, “angst” isn’t necessarily the theme I would see in these games? Do characters go through angst? Yes, but it’s not a key part of their character like

You are spot on in describing the laws of the sea as something from the 17th century because it essentially is . . .

This feels like something that should not be possible and yet even worse, I fully believe it even so. So it has zero to do with sticking with their ship and all to do with literally not allowed to leave. Holy fucking shit.
