That’s greatly reduced with floating rotors... also done in an effort to reduce rotational and unsprung mass. The cooler rotor hats give off less heat to the wheel and wheel bearing assemblies. This is also the reason why a lot of modern sports car brakes are T H I C C boys with cooling ducts.

The Tu-144 is actually interesting, but in a weird way. While the Concorde was a technical marvel but a failure business wise, the Tu-144 was a failure in both regards. The USSR basically copied the Concorde idea and made one key mistake plus a buttload of classic communist era nonsense.
