The real beauty of the Trophy, technically a DIME system, is that it ISN’T a shotgun, but ground tungsten. Depending on how fine the grind, the surface area of ground tungsten is so great that it falls to the ground harmless after 3-10 meters, but inside of 1-3 meters, again, depending on the grind, it will obliterate

It’s not going to be easy to ween the EuroWeenies off of their almost total dependence on the US Military. The entire “Might” of NATO couldn’t defend Europe from the California, Texas or NY National Guard. It’s pathetic.

The fact that they are probably much cheaper, and much more portable than other tanks would mean they could be deployed very quickly and in high numbers

I have never been impressed by the arguement that designs need to all be uniform as that is optimal. Differences in design can be exploited to great advantage by skillful commanders, and that usually outweighs the small logistical and planning benefits of everything being the same down to the last details.

Yeah, the P51 Mustang was a real dog until the Brits suggested stuffing a Merlin Rolls engine in it - then **poof**, perfection.

Impressive flying for a large plane in 27kt crosswinds, but crosswinds can get much worse.

Yeah, their idea of a CWIS is taking a leak off the bow!

Yeah, the Chinese pretty much suck as infantry campaigns go. The Frozen Chosin USMC division so badly mauled 5 Chinese divisions they have never been reconstituted. I think the KIA ratio was over 20:1 against them. The USMC commander famously said “They have us surrounded on all sides, they can’t get away from us now!”

More Wild Weasel bait. Nice antique show-pieces which add NOTHING to the security of anything. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide on an island. Literally sitting ducks!

That will take far more diplomatic persuasion than the Obama Administration is seemingly willing to attempt.

Ironically, they have ALWAYS loved Americans and a lot of Western culture.

Sukhoi, the WORST BVR aircraft ever deployed. G-I-G-A-N-T-I-C RCS! Some F-16 jocks are going to have a field day blowing these things out of the skies with their spiffy new AESA radars and much smaller RCS as well as visual cross sections.

Gorby made the same points repeatedly, but of course only fools would choose not to avail themselves of a credible defense. In Gorby’s time the USSR had massive conventional superiority and still decided they would deploy short range nuclear weapons to further upset the balance. Since there was no Western threat to

Yeah, nice try there shill, but Gorbechev was NEVER able to pry and distance between US and European interests even though he tried mightily. That’s just a Russian wet dream with zero merit that outs you as politically retarded or a Putin shill. (betting on the latter)

As for the Kurds being stabbed in the back, it

Three months ago I questioned Putin’s logic in upping his commitment to Syria, speculating that it would likely come to nothing because the other side would unite against Russia/Iran/Assad and up their support of the opposition.

In a few years when they’re decommissioned some Russian farmer will drag one home, but barn doors across these least aerodynamic ever engine intakes and put up lots of hay in his new aluminum “barn”.

USMC Corsair pilots were dropping dumb bombs into enemy MG nests 50 yards ahead of infantry at the end of the 1st week of the USMC’s participation in the Korean War - at less than 500ft of altitude. They had become very skilled during all the island hopping campaigns against Japan.

The line, the manufacturing line, is now shut down, so the very prospect of re-opening that is just pretty much a non-starter

As I speculated 3 months ago, Russia has had to up their game because Hezbollah is sick and tired of fighting a war of attrition, retaking the same ground time and again, and many of their seasoned veterans are refusing to fight in spite of losing all of their Iranian benefits.

Diego Garcia. Been there, done that.
