Yeah, this one of the few car modification limitations that I’m 100% behind.

Ok, that’s pretty funny and somehow a bit endearing.

How was I not aware of this f40 roadster.

Between his various car exploits, The Wire, and Luther I have the biggest fucking man-crush on Idris.

That’s pretty damn impressive. Maybe it’s the taller gearing but getting enough momentum to push start my motorcycle is hard enough with legs, I can’t imagine this with one arm...in a race...in a car that valuable.

Up to the Bear Mtn Bridge then down 202 to 9A then Taconic to Sprain to 87/cross bronx toward the gwb. Bear mt bridge is like $1.50

I bet this is happening at pretty low speed.

That makes sense

Theft definitely isn’t the reason the insurance is high. It’s expensive even if you have liability only coverage.

If NJ and NY are so good then why is my insurance so damn expensive.

Considering the utility it provides, and the fact that you don’t have to hire a pilot to fly the thing, that sounds pretty cheap to me.

Again you seem to be missing my point. I'm talking about usable performance, not revving the nuts off it every shift. Sure The 1299 makes as much power as my GTI, but that doesn't mean I'd want to daily a car with a Panigale engine. For someone who doesn't like the numbers game I don't see why this is such a hard

Also, how the hell is this cheating. It isn't a GP bike and it's not claiming to play by GP rules. That's like complaining that the 918 has a hybrid system not allowed in GT3 racing, who cares? Given the trend of passenger vehicles moving to forced induction, this is absolutely moving forward, or catching up at least.

I already said I was talking about the street bike and that the H2R doesn't make alot of sense...twice. How about you address what I actually said.

Well, you can trivialize supercharging a bike, but doing so at OEM levels of reliability, especially engineering a package thermodynamically efficient enough to make 200-300hp/l without intercooling is a huge innovation. This has the highest specific output of any production engine ever sold at least that I can find

I agree that the H2R as a pure track only bike doesn't really make sense. It's a halo bike, it's advertising, that's what it's for. That said, to say there is no innovation is ignorant at best, especially when considering the H2 street version. You mention control and rideability, I suspect that was exactly what Kawi

This is what I need for living in manhattan. Put on some wheels that are small enough to leave some sidewall and you’ve got a car that can handle NYC’s potholes, has cheap unpainted fenders for dicing it up with cabs, is short enough to park reasonably easily on the street, is sporty and fun to drive, and has a hatch

Well that was genuinely surprising. I suspect that the 918 has more accessible performance but I never expected it to be faster outright in the hands of a pro.

I mean, sure, this thing doesn’t look like it’ll be competitive in the market. I do have to respect the guy for giving it a shot though. Yeah the GT1 car is a bit goofy, but he got it built. The AF10 car is an unqualified accomplishment. It sounds as if he couldn’t make a financial case for it with that carbon tub,

Curb weight of 8500-9500lbs? Jeez, they weren't kidding about the armor, that's almost as heavy as an up-armored humvee.
