I actually kind of dig it.

It's an '86. Most states have a ruling that after 25 years old you can apply for classic or historic registration. Usually this means that you no longer have to have the car inspected. I know in NJ they don't even look for the sticker if you have historic plates on it.
The seat looks bad because it has an airbag that went off.
Nope.
Skip to 8:05. He says it with John Hennessey right there. Why are you so resistant to this idea? It is registered as a Lotus. Period. Not sure how many times I'm gonna have to post this because of the comment structure here...
Skip to 8:05. He says it with John Hennessey right there. Why are you so resistant to this idea? It is registered as a Lotus. Period. What I'm saying is that there is a great deal more to creating a production car now than there was in the 60's before ALL of the safety and emissions red tape came into existence. Yes…
Yes, only because nowadays the hoops you have to jump through to create a production car are much more difficult.
Yeah, I too am gonna call BS on this being a production car. If it's titled as a Lotus, which I'm nearly 100% positive it is, then its a modified car, not a production car. The hoops you have to jump through to build a true production car are very difficult, and I truly respect the small manufacturers that are able to…
My buddies A7 has it. Very nice and not intrusive at all.
My buddy has a loaded A7 which certainly is no slouch and is one of the more practical sedans I've ever seen. This fucking thing checks ALL the boxes.
Ok, I was skeptical of BMW trying to distance the coupe from the 3-series sedan, but this looks pretty damn good.
I thought donks were 80's square body cars and bubbles were 90's rounded cars like the 90's caprices.
Water injection through the intake charge is harmless, to a point. Water in the crankcase is catastrophic.
I stopped being impressed by this car when I realized they were selling a vehicle with this intrusive of a cage. This thing would be a deathtrap even if it weren't stupidly fast. The proximity of the cage to the headrest is insane. To sell that to people for street use without helmets is just negligent.
This seems like an appropriate time to share one of the best Christmas presents I've ever received. Last year my girlfriend at the time found a photo of my 240z, sent it to Mr. K's house in Japan with a very nice note about how much I loved my car and how it has shaped my life (I'm an engineer because of it) with a…
Yeah the one that died was the Aussie. The american Brock is still going strong.
I've seen two of these in NYC in the past week. Hadn't seen one before so I took a pic. Look interesting, would like to go for a ride in one.
There might be a big difference in the trans weight, but the LS engines are seriously light. IIRC around 350# fully dressed, which really isn't bad at all.
50 is not amused
I started watching this with a skeptical face, but man. Shit just got real!
