I thought DoFP worked so well as a finale to that whole series. Obviously it's unrealistic to expect FOX to stop making X-Men movies now, but I definitely left that movie feeling like it was the perfect place to stop.

They're both doing fine. Moretz gets to star in movies all the time, and Robb currently has a TV show (Mercy Street on PBS).

My wife has had a boombox in our sun porch as long as I've known her (she was living in this house when we met), and Third Eye Blind's self-titled album has been in it the whole time.

See, I thought Kristen Wiig was the Egon.

You think? Even with that bit where she's messing around pretending to be a mannequin head?

Kristen Wiig's face. But yeah, that's the low point for sure.

Garfield's Big Fat Hairy Movie Joke Book.

It looks like Kate McKinnon is the Venkman though, so I'm sure she'll have plenty to do.

I really do think that "30 Years Ago . . ." thing was just a poor choice from the marking department. The actual content suggests it's a new universe - It looks like they invent the technology themselves, Leslie Jones buys a hearse and the others are surprised, etc.

Will Harris tweeted a couple weeks ago that he was about to interview Joel Grey, so that should be a good one.

39 is the middle of some people's age, I guess.

Donald Glover from television, and also Chewitel Ejiofor from movies.

Ha, thanks! Every time I see the Terminator title, that book is all I can think of.

Huh.

I think Miriam Hopkins isn't a household because she didn't get a lot of great showcases outside of her work with Lubitsch. The rest of her career was mostly spent playing shrill characters in melodramas that haven't aged well.

Wow, I have no memory of that (haven't seen that movie since falling asleep in the theater) (not a joke). What does she say?

The real irony is that that feature was called "seamless branching."

I have the same thought about Timewyrm: Genesys now too. I didn't have any interest in seeing it theatrically, but Dowd makes it sound like a decent way to spend two hours if you like Terminator movies.

My favorite thing about that show is that the trailer had Karen Gillan saying "I traded yikes for likes," which is the worst thing I've ever heard.

I spent the whole list A-S hoping that T would be Trouble in Paradise, and I was thrilled to see that it was. For my money, that's the greatest romantic comedy ever made. All of the characters feel like people, even Madam Collet, who could easily have been too cold or too distant or some other unlikable trait.
