The same network that later kept Fringe on the air for 5 years and promoted the heck out of Dollhouse and The Sarah Connor Chronicles for two seasons!
They're playing Floyd and Janice (with Jim as Dr. Teeth)
Power of Kroll, man. I've seen that story twice, and I don't remember a thing about it. When I read the TARDIS Eruditorum review, I got halfway through and was dismayed to realize absolutely nothing sounded familiar.
I lost interest around the time that Jason Lee inexplicably disappeared.
That's probably true, but it's too bad. I love these reviews because I can comment on them right away. I usually don't watch new episodes of DW (or most other shows) for a few days, so I miss out on those comments.
Also, kudos on "Planet of Spookiness"
True but possibly uninteresting fact:
No need to apologize!
Yeah, that's insane! What a world we live in that's happening!
Yeah, I'm sure I'll feel differently once I hear more of that stuff. Certainly I'm excited to hear "Spare Parts" and "Jubilee" and "The One Doctor" and all of the ones that get praised a lot.
Since we've mostly only heard the 8th Doctor audios, it's had a weird effect on how I view Big Finish in general. Basically, in my mind, Doctor Who was a TV show for 7 Doctors, and then a radio show for one, then now a TV show again for 4 and counting.
Yeah, I've heard great things about that one.
I didn't know Maggie Stables had passed away until I saw this comment. That's really a shame. I've only heard her in "Zagreus," but she's tremendous in that.
If nothing else, "Androids of Tara" is the show's best use of Mary Tamm.
@nathanfords_eviltwin:disqus's advice is solid. I'll only add that while I enjoy "Storm Warning" - and it is essential setup - it was "Chimes of Midnight" that really sold me on Big Finish.
The only one of those I've heard is "Embrace the Darkness." I think I said this on here at the time, but my wife and I listened to it in the middle of a huge snowstorm while driving from Minneapolis to Fargo last Christmas. I couldn't see 20 feet in front of the car, and that really helped the episode. The scary stuff…
I can't argue with that.
That's part of the joke!
I got GILMORE GIRLS on Netflix and new HOMESTAR RUNNER on YouTube. It's like a slightly more convenient 2004.
