Ah. Makes sense!
Ah. Makes sense!
I'm planning to do those after I finish all of 7's fifty-something novels. So basically, at age 29, I'm committing to spending the rest of my life intermittently reading Doctor Who novels.
I'd lend you the DVD if I could!
I've probably said this here before, but I always thought that barmaid Clara, if she'd stuck around as the companion, would have been a lot like Charley. From the past, of course, but also feisty and jokey and excited to be traveling and seeing new things.
Sounds like something I'd very much enjoy listening to.
Yeah, that's wonderful stuff. India Fisher's a gem.
At least Davison always had that slight gravelly edge to his voice. It would be a lot worse if he'd sounded extremely youthful back in the 80s.
"The One Doctor" sounds awesome. I'm really excited to hear a bunch of those Sixth Doctor audios someday. But I've already heard "Seasons of Fear," and I adore it. The Doctor's speech about "stumbling through lives like I own a particularly dangerous bicycle" is one of my favorite things from DW in any media.
It turns out the Watcher was Alasdair all along.
Oh hey, you're right. I figured you probably meant him, but I'd never made that connection before, and for some reason I read "Legoman" as a riff on "Legolas" which didn't make any sense.
Legoman?
No, that was called Darcy's Walk of Shame, and it sadly wasn't about Mr. Darcy leaving Caroline Bingley's house.
At the risk of being a cliched Wes Anderson fan, that's exactly what The Grand Budapest Hotel is.
You can't print that!
Good to know! Thanks!
That really does seem to be the case. I really liked him up through his (bonkers, but entertaining) run on Batman/Superman.
That's what my wife and I did too. We didn't take quite as long of a break - we watched the first series in October or so.
Yeah, but the whole half-hour before that!
Upon rewatch, I was happy to find that I really like the second half of P&R S1, which is when it stops being all about the pit. The first three episodes have their moments, but they're all so focused on that goal and it isn't very interesting.
You know, I'll be interested to hear what you think about it. I just know I've been less enthusiastic about all of that stuff as I've aged, and I was obsessed with it in high school.
