Maybe they'll get his equal Tim Hill instead!

I kind of liked Committed on NBC in 2005.

Howard hasn't really been a creep since he got engaged to Bernadette, which is 3 years ago or something now.

I think TED Talks are just fine as introductions to ideas, which is what they're intended as.

Speaking of which, I thought Amy Davidson, the redhead-bordering-on-brunette daughter on 8 Simple Rules, was way hotter than Cuoco. She seems to have mostly disappeared, sadly.

Instead you can love the hilarious Big Bang Theory season 2 finale where they all go to Antarctica for some reason.

A few years ago, there actually was a fascinatingly terrible sitcom on one of the Christian cable channels (INSP or TBN or something) called Pastor Greg, all about the wacky situations that a small-town pastor gets into. The main thing I remember about it was that it billed itself as "Official Christian Sitcom," and I

Ben Wyatt is the perfect example. It's the difference between the BBT episode where they buy the One Ring from Peter Jackson's LOTR and Ben shutting Tom down for trying to make fun of him for being a Tolkien nerd.

Too often, the joke is simply something like Sheldon saying "But I always watch Doctor Who at 7:00 AM on Saturdays, eating cereal and sitting in my spot."

That show is all right.
*shrug*

My mom got me Expelled for Christmas three or four years ago, because she knew I used to watch Win Ben Stein's Money.

Is he really a pop culture figure though, outside of being the inspiration for a character in a TV miniseries?

I'd definitely include The Princess and the Frog in that group. I was kind of underwhelmed by it theatrically, but I've liked it more and more as time has passed. I think it has the most consistent song score of the three recent Disney musicals, and all of the supporting characters are a) memorable and b) have actual

It has a funeral for a chimpanzee in it, and almost no one talks about that! That's how great Sunset Boulevard is. The chimp's funeral is nowhere near the top of the "most interesting things about it" list.

It has some pretty significant deviations from the book, which I'm not going to list because it sounds like @disqus_xqRvmOK6v0:disqus isn't done with the book yet.

The only episode of that show I can remember is the one where Billy Connolly played his brother and there was a framing device where their two maiden aunts (played by McDowell and Connolly in dresses) read a letter about Connolly's trip.

Also, Petticoat Junction ended in 1970, so it led the way for the rest of them to be cleared out.

The Andy Griffith Show is pretty far from being a lowest-common-denominator show, I'd say. The characters feel so genuine, and the writing was terrific.

Wow, thanks so much! I'll try to find time to watch all of those that are online. I looked for the show on YouTube a couple of years ago, but I could only find one episode ("The Old Man and the She") at that time.

Thanks so much for writing this, Todd. Out of all the TV shows that I've only seen two episodes of, He & She is probably my all-time favorite.
