I agree with you, but I believe(hopefully) they will bring out a manual in the next model year. They have made patents for it, and I doubt they would let down the purists like that. I could be wrong though.

I know its probably SUPPOSED to be, but honestly, hes not MISSING.  Missing indicates he should have been there.  The only place he should be is somewhere no one else ever has to interact with him ever again.

Unlike most of the keyboard warriors on here, I would actually buy this car and buy it new. I have a family and I need something that has some power and is practical. That’s why I have a 2014 Forester XT. Yes it has a CVT, and no I’m not complaining about it because I’m fine with it. I don’t go on track days, I just

Love that the CRV comes to a full stop then Punts the guy anyway for walking in the traffic lane. Good on you Honda.

I want to know this as well. The thought of driving most Toyotas makes me want to die inside, especially when I think — it being a Toyota — I’d be driving it for so damned long.

Orange = good. We need more orange vehicles.

That looks so fun. I know I am in the minority, but I enjoy FWD hooning as least much as I enjoy RWD. Lift-off oversteer is so much fun.

I actually debated these two specific cars for my recent purchase before the Mazda pricing details were published. I could not be happier with the Hyundai Elantra GT N-Line, and my decision to purchase it instead of waiting for the Mazda3 was reaffirmed by Mazda’s announcement. I think I have a more fun-to-drive car

I stand by your Type-R take. There are dozens of us.

Seriously..

This is going to come across as completely heresy, but I like the GT350 more.

It’s even a fake Toyota.

I actually don’t mind this design trend. In a world where all cars are starting to look the same, they actually gave those cars a design feature that’s at least interesting. While the resulting look may not be to everyone’s taste, I at least salute their effort and hope that car stylists continue to try stuff like

You should head to an IMSA race. Lexus makes an RC-F GT3 race car, and it’s one of the best sounding cars on the grid. I just wish it was louder.

Contrary to what seems to be popular opinion, I like this thing.

Pressing the clutch pedal in with your left foot, while simultaneously moving a gear lever with your right/left hand is the only description of a manual transmission that I will accept.

Something else that might help is listening to the car as you practice shifting (so just music off or low) you’ll be able to associate the proper shift points by the way the engine sounds so it will enable you to find those smooth points easier.

If you want to rip it off the line you’re basically obliged to slip the clutch as you get it rolling then try to get on the power hard and let the clutch out the rest of the way simultaneously (or a micro amount faster on the clutch).
