You know, I had a nagging suspicion my car was contributing to it, but I was in denial. Now I realize there’s better ways to live life than worrying about it 24/7. If that means getting rid of the car, so be it.

But don’t feel that you will be losing out by not having your Type-R - you won’t and if you decide in a couple of years time that you want something fun, then do it - if you can.

Thank you Stef - I agree, the 3 is a great little car. Big smile on the outside, big smile on the inside.

Thank you for the helpful advice!! I remember that even exercising when I was anxious was hard, because I focused on my heart rate beating fast and that alone gave me anxiety. But I still did it. It was hard to do, but I pushed through it and felt good about it. I also felt a lot of soreness in my knees - actually, I

I’ve been looking for Mazda6s in my area. They are very limited for some reason. I am open to midsized sedans too! If I could find a TLX V6 I would love it probably, unless it was a 2015 I hear which has some janky transmission issues.

The WRX comment is spot on with this car for me! I really don’t use anywhere near my CTR’s power on a daily basis except for passing mostly. My daily commute is 90% main roads and 10% back roads. The back roads aren’t very twisty either. So most of the time it’s just going from light to light and stuff.

Was curious about these. I LOVE how the V60s looked. Don’t know much about Volvo though, other than their interiors are seriously sexy in their newer vehicles.

Ahh, thank you! Weird site quirk.

Top choice for sure. I love how they look.

Don’t worry, I’ve been seeing a therapist for a few weeks now. It’s helped a lot. I actually talked to him today about this entire situation. It was a good discussion and helped dispel the negative thoughts that provoke anxiety I have about doing it.

I found a 2017 just slightly over budget that I’m going to test drive. Looking forward to it. I hear a lot of good things about this car, so I’m very interested to see for myself what it’s like.

Clicking the link doesn’t bring me to the comment unfortunately. (Weird glitch?) But yeah I heard that about the new 3s. I love the interior, but I heard they don’t drive anywhere near as good as the old ones.

First, the car caused me great anxiety in just keeping it clean and scratch fee. I wouldn’t let people eat or drink in it at all, parked out in the far corners of lots. It’s low enough that driving on anything other than smooth flat streets was very annoying. Having to always go through little dips and driveways

LOL. My search location is mainly Bucks County and Montgomery County - I know JUST how expensive Doylestown tends to be.

I did not know that. I may look into that. Thanks for heads up!

It’s such an amazing car. My friend has a 2014 he loves. He’s told me so many times how I should look at Mazdas - I kinda was like “but Honda!”. Well, I can say the 3 I test drove was fantastic.

My anxiety exploded 2 months ago. It was something building up for years now. It came out and gave me panic attacks, sometimes daily, until I got some meds to keep it under control. I also have health anxiety, so you can imagine when my anxiety makes me feel like shit I get anxious off of those symptoms as well. Then

I honestly thought I would never sell that car. I still miss it dearly.

Yup, GTI is an obvious choice. I just happen to be part of a family with a BAD history of VW issues in the 2000s. But I’m gonna test drive a used one and see what I think.

This needs so many more stars honestly
