The only season I think had that "fizzle" issue was season 3.

See, the faith movies like this don't really get on my nerves. It's the God's Not Deads of the world that infuriate me to no end as their purpose for existing is to look down on evil atheists.

He has a car. This is directly from the comics.

It's still one of my favorite twists in anything ever that the first character we're introduced to on the show — the clean-cut obvious hero — ended up being the main villain of the series.

Nope, Agents of SHIELD is great. The first half of season one wasn't very good but that was standard growing pains. The second half is when it got pretty good (with some great moments).

I'd be shocked to not see them back this year.

Agents of SHIELD absolutely has clear and consistent characterization of its ensemble.

Nonsense. Coulson is a great character. They've had him change in many ways in the show. If someone went from the first Iron Man directly into the first half of season 3, the growth would be clear.

That's always what the movie was going to be about. AoS handles the mutant-like segment of Inhumans that's happening in the comics. The movie handles the royal family.

The movie has not been canceled. It was pushed out of phase 3 to (likely) launch phase 4.

No it didn't.

You realize that's from the comics, right?

Shield doesn't suck though. Season 2/first half of season 3 is some of the best in the MCU.

It isn't. It's a good character and his comic was great.

While the second half of season 3 was shaky, season 2 and the first half of season 3 are some of the best stuff in the MCU.

I don't think it's a death slot. It's not the slot that killed ABC shows in the past at that time.

See, I think Heroes mistake was having Sylar revert to evil like 3 times. They teased redemption for him a number of times but always fell back into evil. That would have been fun and interesting. I feel the same with Ward.

Hive's real face does look silly but that's what he looks like in the comics so it's hard to fault them for the design of Hive. But the CGI was fantastic. Didn't expect that from network television.

Didn't even think of those. Actually, the only -true- crossover episodes were the Sif episodes and those weren't even movie tie-ins.

You say "another" but what are the other "awful" ones exactly? Clearly not the Winter Soldier ones, so that leaves Age of Ultron's bookending episodes which a) were barely a crossover at all and b) solid episodes.
