I feel bad for GM's scapegoats. Someone is getting blamed for this, when all they were doing was trying to save GM money. I don't think the 'scapegoats' could of predicted all of this backlash back then, nor if they knew if it was even a problem or the severity of it. On top of that, if they are fired over this,

I think the only flogging that will happen will be from people who actually consider non-American cars as a buying option. Did that Toyota recall involve mini-vans? If so, I saw it on oppo, good luck finding it though. I think the GM recall is big news because it's American, one of the big-three, the home-brand compared to the "foreign" choices. It hits close to home. At least it does, here in Michigan.
