I got this blue AW Ford GT40 a while ago... just now posting it. I picked it up because it was on clearance, and would look good on the track diorama. It’s a shame it has the same number as the red GT40, but it’s still a nice casting.
My year old boy is sick, I got incredibly sick and called out of work last Tuesday. Wednesday morning I was feeling well enough to go to the office (I have to get those hours in)... ended up backing up and breaking my side view mirror when I side-swiped a tree. Broke the motor inside of it, broke the color-matching…
It was the first time I’ve ever gone to one; it’s best described as a country-themed Walmart. I went because mrsztp said they had a set like this (link below) at the store; an awesome Ertl Harvesting set, which appears to have a true scale 1/64 Combine Harvester (and everyone should know I LOVE true scale castings).…
I got this Motor Max 1/24 ‘79 Ford F-150 Custom a few weeks ago, but haven’t had time to share. It’s a pretty simplistic model, nothing special about it, but I absolutely love old Ford trucks; especially the ones with square bodies. So when I saw this, I had to have it.
The newest addition to my collection is this GL ‘39 Chevy Panel Truck. What a awesome little casting too! The cool factor is dialed up further when I discovered that Krispy Kreme donuts was founded in 1937! Which makes this truck a real-life, period correct casting! Idk, I just thought that was really neat, :).
It happened last night returning home from work. Not entirely sure what happened, but I lost control of the car when it tried to fishtail and I tried to correct it; the car fishtailed worst as I over corrected it. It did a 180 spin and landed in a ditch; the force of the impact apparently turned the engine off.
I had the Ram 2500 and the Ford with the heavy duty trailers; and I just bought a second Ford with trailer earlier today. Namely because I love these trailers, and they are extremely cool! :D
Hey guys, I just wanted to share what I got for Christmas this year! I got quite a hawl!
I’m sure everyone is aware that legos hurt when stepped upon, right? Well, I’m pretty sure I found something to compete against it. Ztp Jr. was playing with this shark casting in the middle of the doorway. I stepped over her and my right foot landed right on top on this car. Wait, it gets better.
I figured I should take some diorama picks, since it was always a care-free activity that I enjoyed. Which pic and casting are you favorite?
Hey everyone! Just wanted to remind you guys that I’m not dead, and to share that I got this cool AW hawl! It seems to be a limited edition run. I haven’t opened it yet... been a bit busy, :p. But I plan on it later today.
This year ztp junior and I decided to carve a pumpkin; for the very first time ever. It turned out pretty good! Junior requested a happy pumpkin, not a scary one. Also, she named it “Savvy Pumpkin”, because she has a knack for giving weird names (she wanted to name the new dog ‘Popsicle’). What kind of…
Our usual setup is that we have a table over the dog kennel. But now that we have two dogs, I figured I should just make a new custom one.
A sheltie to be precise. Her name is Wing Gundam; Wing for short. Ten internet points if you know the reference. She’s a year and four months old.
Clever GL. While looking for for a car part in the house (still can’t find it...), I stared at the Grand Am long enough to realize “hey, that looks like it can separate”. Lo and behold, it indeed separates and the Grand Am has a engine compartment. Pretty neat GL.
I’ve been really busy lately, and I have had to reassess my approach of the garage because of some difficulties; but I now have three half finished walls! And I now have the doorway and three garage door openings too! Hooray!
I’ve been super busy, so here’s a few new hawls that I got over the past month.
My father-in-law and I made a custom Banjo for me. Nothing fancy, but he bought the parts (the neck, the pot, the resonator, etc), and we essentially assembled it together. It was quite a unique experience, full of frustrations and joy.
On the way to a wedding, I saw it on the road and I honestly thought I missed it, until during the reception I went out to the car and saw this colorful thing jammed under the hood. Besides the lost of life, I found this pretty impressive.
I have four wall frames! Hurray! The last one was the front, which I had to measure and re-cut the middle section since I’m working hard to keep it at 6.5" wide. I also filled in the doorway with another piece to make it roughly the proper 1/64 scale size. :).
