Edit: looked online. I guess it's ducks AND geese that we get foie gras from. Oooops. Sorry!

I think you're thinking of ducks. Never heard of goose foie gras. Pretty sure it's just ducks.
Did you take the same class I did? The lady in my class also said that microwaved food makes food somehow "not-food." It changes the composition of things into harmful carcinogens!
Thanks for explaining this. While I can feel a little better because I have private insurance, it's still maddening that there are many women in the state that won't get access to proper care because of this.
Big businesses which provide insurance for their employees will have to figure out how to deal with this. Do they cover it with their usual insurance payments? Do they not? Do they provide it? etc. etc. etc. It's actually a huge headache for them and insurance companies, if you think about it.
I can only hope that the one entity that Republicans listen to just as much as the "church" will put a nail in this: big business. Big businesses which now suddenly might have to offer insurance riders, big insurance companies which are confused about implementing this, and other companies will cry out at the…
Indeed. My husband and I were making fun of Kanye during the episode with his frequent interruptions and exclamations of, "Bitch, why aint you a Hobbit?" and, "yeayeayeayea, got it, *kissykissy* love ya."
The basic premise is that women don't feel welcome in racing because it's widely held as a "man's sport." Women are only seen as capable of holding an umbrella, looking pretty, and maybe presenting the trophy (and they ARE part of the trophy, mind you).
You're adding your own interpretation that emotional=feminine. I don't view that. I view emotional as emotional, neither female nor male.
I'm on team neither. But if you gave me a spear and told me to impale the one I'd like to see dead, I'd impale Peeta every.single.time.
Oh, I agree. I just used McDonalds in my response because it's easy. It's not just what you eat, but it's cost and time. Not everyone has time to cook healthy meals after working 2 jobs, not everyone has the skills to, not everyone has the time to make it to the gym, or the money to pay for the gym. "Fat people"…
A person's body fat percentage is useful, too. I think BMI, fat %, cholesterol, weight, height, blood pressure, resting heart rate and a few other things should be used as a "fitness panel." To get a fuller picture of a person's health.
BMI is bullshit. It's a flawed mechanism that is used too much. Generally, it can be accurate. But it can very often be inaccurate, too. BMI should be used with many other measures to show health/fitness. BMI as a standalone is a horrible practice.
Agreed! If we truly cared so much about health and combating obesity, instead of fat-shaming people into the gyms and choking down salads, we should be focusing on making the healthier choices more affordable than the unhealthy. A head of broccoli and a boneless skinless chicken breast is over $6. But people can…
There are ALWAYS dogs which need homes — of all sizes. You shouldn't hold off.

Yes! I use Cartwheel and love it. My husband is amazed at how every time we go into Target, I'm finding us $10+ off of our bill (usually less than $100). It's so awesome!

Sorry for the double post.
