It’s simply called “getting older”. Novelty wears off, console cycles and the content therein gets routine, etc. I was STOKED for the PS3 launch in late HS; excited for PS4 launch post-college; the PS5 and the DualSense are admittedly dope but there’s nothing overly “wow” about them...
