As far as I am aware, that is just a hardware issue: some of the disc’s data is offloaded onto the HDD/SDD so it can read and process the data at a faster rate. If the data was solely contained on the disc and read from it, the disc would need to spin a LOT faster and be read by the laser a LOT faster, and that would…
