It's a matter of a few different things. Sure, the plastic material is relatively cheap (PC is still going to be more expensive than some lesser plastics), but the major costs are in the tooling, labor involved with running the tool, how many parts end up being scrapped, how much regrind (think scrapped material) can

Social agenda of CR is what I meant.

As if Subaru's erectile year-over-year growth wasn't impressive enough, now they've gone and nabbed three of the ten awards from Consumer Reports this year. This is from a brand that, charitably, makes seven cars (if you count the WRX and XV Crosstrek as non-Imprezas and Outbacks as non-Legacys).

No worries. I didn't live in the People's Replubic of Eugene nor Multnomah County, so no offense taken.

I'll believe it when I see it. Driving I-84 in rural Oregon at 65MPH is mind-deadening.

Ignoring all the subsidies on corn, which is another argument against ethanol altogether, it's truly only cheaper if the price of ethanol is about 2/3 the price of comparable amount of gasoline, due to decreased fuel economy you'll observe. I've never seen E85 at or below that price point in relation to gasoline.

It's about 2/3 the energy content (per gallon) in comparison with gasoline. Which sucks in and of itself, but is ridiculous when you consider that, at least when manufactured within the US, it's a completely unsustainable product without being massively subsidized. AND we could get it for 1/2 the price from Brazil

I've only had it happen a couple times, but I've come across someone who was changing lanes into my lane, and I could only see their light for a brief instant (e.g., vehicle right behind them blocks your vision of said car) and by the time you're right next to them, you're not sure if you're seeing brake lights

Between this potential development and the new NSX, it's starting to feel like 1993 again, and I'm okay with that. Now all we need is a comeback from the Spin Doctors.

If you don't know anything more than 'she left her kid in the car', then you're rushing to judgment.

Meh.

I had a '94 Civic with no PS. I loved how you could feel every nuance in the road. A friend of mine who drove it said he felt like Fred Flintstone, but I really miss it.

"Honda's group suppliers were thrown into disarray by Ito's actions. The way things are going, they're soon all going to become subcontractors with no technologies of their own," said one former Honda chief.

7/10. There are a lot of obscure cars in that survey.

What about the donut holder?

There is no AWD Odyssey. Just sayin'.

Once all bolts have been started, jack the car up so the wheel is off the ground—not too high, just enough so the wheel is just off the ground

It's probably for a low Cd, but I really dislike how the grille area is the same surface height as the rest of the bumper surface area. I think the grille surface should be offset (inset) slightly from the bumper surface. Keep the logo at the current height, that way it accentuates the logo, instead of appearing to

Driving home late Monday night, could see an SUV in the distance driving with no lights on. Who doesn't think to turn on their lights when it's dark and poor weather?

Soooooooooo true. My dad had the '92 Caprice with the 5.0, which I think was rated at 170hp. In a straight line, 170hp never, ever felt so fast.
