The script was bad though. The alien hybrid idea is just plain stupid.

He looked like a total badass. The control of his weapon points to adequate training. Glad he’s armed and spraying our highways for justice.

It’s funny how often the “every game should be for everyone” apostles fail to see the flaw in their reasoning when they instantly make an amalgamation between a community and its toxic vocal minority.

I still agree with Jessica Valenti that Ansari’s story is probably the most important of the Me Too era. Because I don’t think he’s a bad person, and I don’t think that should be the takeaway from what happened. I think this is the one case where the main thing, the most important thing, is how what happened is

I know, I know, it’s serious.

I’ve said before these SNL reviews are one of the first things I read on Sunday mornings, often before I’ve watched the episode. I’ve been worried they weren’t long for this world since word came out last December of what G / O was pulling...so this week’s news was expected but no less disappointing. I’m glad at least

Nothing much. Except just how profitable black women’s bodies and features are when packaged in white, but very tanned skin.

I support Foreskin too

The fun thing about these slideshows besides nothing is that when I play one video, and then skip to the next slide without stopping the video, and play a video on the next slide, it plays both videos on top of each other. In case I ever wondered what The Weeknd and Big Thief sounded like mashed up. Which I didn’t.

That Kim Petras song is like a 30 Rock parody of a pop song.

Hmm, I’d argue the essay is more about Jessica Chastain playing “strong female” roles written by men who think the way to write those roles is just to make a woman do and say everything a man would do and say.

This is a bad article and I think Jez is actually dead. I’ll miss it.

Wait til they get a load of Breaking Bad...

I don’t see the point of this piece. The show doesn’t try to depict Eric Taylor as a perfect father. He’s a guy who often puts his coaching responsibilities ahead of his familial ones, sometimes to the serious detriment of his wife and children. He’s an old-fashioned guy with a good heart but disordered priorities.

I say all this having never once in my life slept outdoors. But I did watch “The Edge” a couple of times.

I agree. Is it a good adaptation of the comic book? No. Is it a fun movie on its own terms? Absolutely!

You saw it too with the Pierces, Logan tried to woo them, etc, and couldn’t pull it off. All he has going for him is sitting at the top of a giant pile of money and lawyers. The show’s thesis was pretty definitively stated in season 2 by Logan himself: ‘money wins’.
Not that he isn’t pathologically committed to being

I will never understand the Kate McKinnon love. I find all of her impersonations to be so grating, and just not funny.

Logan only cares for strength, and sending that pick was a sign of weakness for him. Also, a confirmation of what he already believes: that Romulus is a degenerate to be ashamed of.”

It’s black comedy, in the same vein that Breaking Bad is black comedy.
