You have Ensign Beckett Mariner, who is sort of like our Tom Cruise/Maverick, where she’s amazing at Starfleet stuff, and she’s incredibly knowledgeable, but she just hates following the rules and she bristles at the military structure.

Is the rest of the series any good?

Even though AC2: Revelations as a game was just okay, I really did like the ending.

Movies - The Missus was on a Jake Gyllenhaal kick, so we watched End of Watch on Netflix. It was actually one of the better cop movies I’ve seen in awhile. It had a nice way of subverting the typical cliches and made the police feel like real people instead of the one-note caricatures. And chemistry between Gyllenhaal…

The Hunt. - I went in cautiously because of AVClub’s review, but I think they got it wrong. This movie was a blast!
