It’s totally possible to be both (I was, a long time ago) but it’s impossible to be a womanizer and a feminist, which is really the grosser accusation here.

Did you actually read her letter? She’s not saying her husband cheated. She’s saying that he gaslighted her for 20 years while he was a womanizer. There’s a big difference between committing infidelity and doing that. She says that she’s been diagnosed with complex PTSD since piecing together the truth.

What I get from her is, “If I’d only known, if I’d known the truth, I could have ended this 15 years ago. I could have made choices for myself.” Which is such a valid thing to say/feel. I used to tell FWB, “Just tell me when you’re seeing someone else.” Because I wanted it to be MY CHOICE if I exposed myself to STIs.

But can you be a feminist and a womanizing cheater?

Yeah? Feminists blame the beautiful, needy, aggressive young women for their affairs?

It kind of seems like the most change that has happened in this country has come from the Supreme Court or legislation rather a bigots and minorities building chairs and drinking beer. Ultimately bigots don’t care and sorry I’m not interested in stalking Klan member to get them to like me. I’m not interested in going

You want us to turn the other cheek and spout peace and love when other side is preaching violence? Transmisogyny kills people. Racism kills people. Misogyny kills people. It’s fucked up right white people wing people have to be coddled into seeing the rest of the world as well.

Being trans is not a “self-imposed ‘camp’.” Climate change is not a “choice.” Sure, disagreeing with someone about certain specific policy ideas is one thing, but when one group actively denies the existence of another group or tries to use political might to harm a group/the earth, it’s not just people on opposite

You know, I just responded and said that the article didn’t necessarily call for an apology—but your comment is a genuinely good criticism. Instead of just grabbing a clatch of hacker buds, they could’ve found another way to frame the entire article—because it’s not clear from the article what makes the guys profiled

Because the president of this group is a female hacker. Not featured because maybe she didn’t want to be photographed. But “I realize that it’s extraordinarily difficult to find a woman hacker” wasn’t the case here. She was in the room.

Yes, the implication is that men will continue to define and rule the world. That an editor would not automatically see that he was looking at an image about his own area of expertise and not see that it was all male, literally illustrates the fact that women are not part of the mental picture men have of the

There is zero reason to do a story about “Nu-Nerds” and focus entirely on one group of students at one college. Zero.

If you actually read the article, they talk about a club “NU Hacks” that has two women, including the president. Yet they chose to profile and picture only a group of boys for their article. So they had an opportunity to portray some diversity but instead decided to talk up a group of friends. This is why women are

lol okay. the fact that you think this is just about comfort tells me all I need to know about conversing with you.

Showing only male hackers implies that they couldn’t find any young, up-and-coming female hackers to include in the article. Not even one!

I love when men get mad that women try to “educate” them about our experiences and perspectives. Why can’t the ladies just let the men drink beer and watch the sports in their special man caves in peace? How dare we try to advocate for a more just world by sharing our often-overlooked perspectives?

“Educate”

Does she like going to a public swimming pool? I think the PPM for urine in a public pool is waaaaay higher than the shower.

Yeah, balancing on one foot in a wet shower sounds like a recipe for a broken arm and a concussion, but you do you!

I don’t wash my legs or my feet and I pee in the shower. IDGAF!
