I’m assuming you’re referring to soft contacts. I’ve worn gas permeable contacts for 30 years, rinse them with water day & night, store them in solution, and use more solution when I put them in. If I’m camping, I rinse them with saline. In an emergency, I’ve stored them in water. My eyes & contacts have been fine.
