I graduated high school with her (McCluer North, Class of ‘83 represent!). Trust me, no one was surprised that she went into comedy. She was such a legendary wise-ass that teachers would tell Kathy Madigan stories to their other classes.

I’ve seen her live twice.

Wow, usually war criminal leaders do the “failed artist” thing first.

Yeah, this is definitely one of those assholes who makes a First Amendment argument, threatens nonsensically to back it up using the Second Amendment, then gets really pissed and blames THEM (n****** and uppity liberals) when he loses his job.

Upstate New Yorker here. I’m sure what I hear about NYC is comparable to what people in the rest of the mitten (much less the UP) say about Detroit.

I will be in the voting booth with bells on if she wants Schumer’s seat.  He needs to go have a seat somewhere.

Yeah, but Heather showed up in season two, then went on to Charm School. I freaking love Heather. When Sharon Osborne asked her what was wrong, she straight up said she hadn't smoked weed in a month and it was driving her nuts. Heather and I would be friends.

I don’t know.  Bret seemed like a really decent person.  I fucking loved this show.  DON’T THREATEN ME WITH A GOOD TIME!!!!  The best.  He also had a show about renovating RVs I think that aired somewhere and I even watched that.  He has such a calming presence.  I wish he would record some meditations, I’d be all

God I loved this trashy show! I’m still salty that Heather and her magnificent 80s hair didn’t win the first season.

I was leaving the local Bass Pro Shop wearing a Glock t shirt and passed the membership kiosk outside and yet they never talked to me, I wonder why?

“The world is changing and I’m not at the center of it anymore make it stop!”

And now we know what the morning shall look like on the social medias, today:

Trump seemed frazzled that Swan (no relation to the lake) didn’t just swallow the president’s dim-witted explanation like the fair and balanced journalists at Fox News.

Thanks for the kind words.

Yours was the lovely passage. I was water-skiing in your wake.

I mean, this was just the loveliest thing to read.

I didn’t realize Kenji had anything to do with Kimball any longer! Kinda surprised, honestly, as there was conflict there after he’d left the magazine (when Ed Levine brought him onboard Serious Eats, IIRC), when his name was removed from the original vodka pie crust piece. Never knew this had been reconciled. Good

Just reading this article makes me kinda wanna cry. He should have been around for a long time to come, no two ways about it. What a singular talent, a phenomenal personality. The term ‘larger than life’ is tossed around a lot, but it really applies to him.

Do you know a good Thai cookbook by a Thai not written in Thai?
(and not intended to be a snark, I really like Thai. That said, in some cuisines I find some true authentic to be less compatible with my palette. See also Chicken Tikka Masala being invented in Glasgow to match Scots' gravy-based diet)
