That steering wheel was such a terrible design. My ‘84 skyhawk 1.8l turbo had the same wheel and it simply fell apart. The horn sounded like a seagull in it’s death throes. Seeing the pic of that wheel brought back a lot of high school angst for buying that car to begin with.

I had an ‘86 non turbo that I bought off an old lady in 1994. 32k miles on it when I got it. It handled sweet but was a dog. A cruiser at best but with enough room in the trunk to be my sporting goods locker and then some.

Kinda like when they had a full on 40 something John C Rielly playing a 15 year old Dewey Cox in Walk Hard.
