Your second paragraph is very relatable. I work in public health with many people with Masters degrees who built their careers out of similar experience you described, but they cant relate with populations that got it rough.

I agree with you Bart. My wife is the demographic shows like Serial attract. But for me, having worked in emergency medicine/trauma for a decent chunk of my adulthood, true crime stories tend to sensationalize and gloss over the point that real evil is out there.

Does this mean that Serial, in it’s first real crack at telling this type of story, wasn’t “woke” enough?

Yes, I had a Husky (RIP) and not only did she require miles and miles and miles of walks, she required wilderness. Out in the open mountains or along the beach is where she really had her engine working at prime performance.

Yessir, the lime green and off purple paint jobs came off in big ol flakes.  I felt bad for folks in those shades, they just wanted to look hip and 90's and then they got railed in the keister with BS.
