No doubt, The NCAA is going to pay athletes now and Deadspin is mute.  Not a good look.

I had one and it was dope. Black with the silver roof. Everything worked, everyone fit, even the analog clock was a cool touch. It was comfortable, it was painted well (if that makes sense... just very easy to keep detailed and shiny), and it could scoot with the EB.

I see what you mean 100%. But I think there’s a difference because the kids were chaperoned by grown ups. They had that protective layer of supposed “supervision.”

It’s the “He Started It!” argument writ large.  And unless there’s physical violence about to occur, that argument is never defensible. 

This right here is what had my dander up when it happened. The parents and the school administrators fucking straight up failed.

I’m finishing a book right now called “Confederates in the Attic.” It was published 20-some years ago. It’s an upsetting journey through the south, and the bummer is that in a lot of ways what’s going on now is magnified and enhanced compared to how it was then.

I didn’t see the game, did he suffer an impact that resembles an injury like that happening?
