I was just thinking “good job” on posting this on a Friday when I have time to wind down and soak up a good story.

Likewise

Props to this guy. No jokes, no sarcasm, he got out in front of dang near everybody besides that dude who must have been mostly-deer to make sure guy was ok.

He got up on his horse for sure.

Our local gathering is called a “Stangpede” and it makes me LOL.

Fat, old, and drunk, more like. My dad ride shared with some guys who would take advantage of not having to drive by getting after a six pack or so on the way home.

I’m in a ‘14 Tacoma right now and the interior can eat a dick.  I like the looks of the Colorado, and the ZR2 looks sweet.

For about 6 years I would leave my house in Ventura County at 4:15 am on a Monday, drive 184 miles, work in San Diego till Thursday or Friday (9/80 schedule) and come home for weekends. Door to door on Monday morning would take 2 hours 15 minutes, but on a Thursday or Friday afternoon?  Anywhere from 3.5 to 8.5

Oh man.  Reading all these replies and smiling. My dad commuted from our po-dunk town 20 miles north of Lapeer to Pontiac every day. Clocks in at about 53 miles or so one way.

I lived in San Diego County for longer than I care to remember, and yeah the rents are bullshit. I got really lucky by getting a 3 br house in LaMesa with a big yard for 1400 a month, but this was back in 2002. It was a house owned by a buddy’s mom who just wanted the tax break.

Not sure, but soon maybe?  I was at this game and while I didn’t see the hit, the stress on the Broncos staff was palpable.  4 people per side to get him on the cart, handling him really gently.  You could tell this wasn’t a dog and pony show for precautions, it was serious.

That raises the question doesn’t it. Once you start to like a couple guys on the same squad, do you begin to become fans of the team too?

Yessir, and that Red Lamborghini Countach poster.

My brother is the same way about Priest Holmes.  It’s all good Swanson.

I think I got lucky. My two favorite books as a youth were “To Kill a Mockingbird” and “In Cold Blood,” and my mom noted that my favorite books were by a woman and a gay dude.

My immediate knee-jerk answer to this question is Steve Atwater. Then it’s a mix of Wade Boggs and Fred McGriff and Earl Campbell and Walter Payton and Karl Malone and Greg Lloyd and Kevin Greene and Zach Thomas.

“Sir this is a Chili’s”

Max basically told him to fuck off when he came out to the hill.  The only way to get him off the rubber was to haul him off Hanibal Lecter style.

Dodger fan here too, when the pitching coach came out in the 7th I told my wife “Max is goona tell him to fuck off, watch” Taylor took him 8 pitches, Jock almost had that ball land on the line but nope... Toast.

It might come off wrong on Television, but I saw this live at the Hollywood Bowl and I (not a fan of little mermaid at all) was really blown away.
