GM’s is worse, because at least Ford can use the excuse that its interior is 5 years old now.

WTF is up with the double-stacked glove boxes? One for your meth and one for your pistol?

Hey Eddie! I was reading Alanis’s piece because holy crap the vitriol she and her fellow women car journalists get compared to the stuff I get as a woman covering tech and nerd stuff is incredible (and I love her coverage of the subject).

Most animals raised to become food live on fish meal and soybeans”

She did a children’s book? TIL.

yeah the last 2 years of the 250R had 38.8hp, which was an absolutely insane number for that day and still a respectable one today. much lighter than a 4 wheeler, too.

Elbow macaroni, ground beef, onions - and whatever the fuck else you wanted to get out of the fridge! Can of tomato paste? LOL

Music program closed. His only "good" was solely for self-aggrandizement.

The name change was fucking stupid. If I ever heard/saw an ad for “Badlands Motor Speedway” I would immediately think it was at a track west river.  Why even buy a race track if you’re not going to be have races?

Good - if only it worked that way everywhere else. I know of too many race tracks/dragstrips (and even some amphitheaters) that have fallen victim to this kind of BS. People even seem to try it with giant airports they chose to move next to.

Think back 10 years ago when the V8 Mustang made as much horsepower as the V6 or I-4 turbo does today.

Makes more power and a little less torque than my 99 powerstroke. Engine transmission combo probably weighs a thousand pounds less too.  But I like my old 7.3.

The V12 in the LP500 Quattrovalvole Countach had “only” 449 hp when it launched in 1985, and that was considered all but untouchable at the time.

My current DD is an 88 Celica that had 128hp from the factory when new in 1988. It’s probably closer to 100 now.

I remember when the Cummins diesel in the Ram made 150 hp.

I look back on the cars I had when I was young and the HP they had (‘85 Sentra hatchback- ~90hp, ‘90 Integra LS -135 hp) and look at my vehicles now 290 and 415 hp) and think, ehh that is kind of middling these days, but honestly it is enough, though there are times I wish I had a V8 in my Jeep than the V6 which is no

right?  The vortec 7400 we had made a stonking 290 hp!  Funny thing is, it didn’t make THAT much less torque (410 lbs-ft at 3200 rpm)

Kind of along these lines. I had a friend looking to hire a renovation contractor, she asked me to help her vet some companies. One guy shows up in a newish Accord. She immediately wants to dismiss him because he is not driving a truck. I explain that he is there to provide an estimate and probably drives around the

3/4 ton gassers actually offer higher payload ratings then the diesels. by as much as 800 pounds depending on options. I would also hope a diesel holds its value better since they are a 8-11k option depending on the truck.

It’s an ultra-rare Fiat X 1/18.
