2002 Buick? Century or Park Avenue? ...the indicators are actually just headlight reflections off the chrome bumper trim?

The Tahoes and Suburbans I have driven seem to spend a lot of highway time using 4 cylinders. It seems like the Silverados spend less highway time using 4 cylinders but I haven’t driven as many of those.

Yup, had a G8 GT. The limit was about 60MPH on a flat and level with no wind. Once you got up to 65+, never except going downhill. And that was in a somewhat aero sedan. How well do you think that does in a truck? Maybe cruising the boulevard at 45MPH.

This is so true. My Escalade almost never goes into 4 cyl mode above about 50 mph. And it hates to stay there.

Now that it is fuel injected there really isn’t much. The drive belts are great, valve adjustments are as easy as it gets. Can’t imagine it’s hard on tires. So, 12ish oil changes, 2-3 brake fluid, 1 fork fluid, maybe 2 sets of front pads, one set of rears, maybe 3 rear tires and maybe only one front. One belt.

lol... using only the front brake is a sports bike thing, you have no idea how many people tell me that the rear brake on a bike is totally useless!

I’ve noticed one thing about these lifted trucks. The people that complain about them all seem to have an unhealthy obsession with penis size.

Understood. I owned 8 metrics before I bought a used FXDL. (I had a VTX1800C at the same time as the HD) Metrics are great bikes and hard to compete with for performance/dollar ratio. If the goal is just to get on the road and ride you’re not going to beat the Japanese mfrs.

I wasn’t sure.

Yes they were done by a conversion company, I’m not really sure how many were made, but not many appear to have survived. I was in high school when they were new and i thought they were cool as hell. The dealership that sold the ones I saw had their own facility just for customizing trucks back in the 90s and had

bleh. like finding a bandaid at the bottom of my spaghetti.

It’s a 2005 Maisto Ford F-350. The 2004 models with the old style grill is a little more more common.... dang the resale value is $100!

Dodge Ram 1500 I think

This a terrible take and we all know it

Moved here 3 years ago from Central MN and it was a bit of a shock when I first saw all the atv/SxS on the road. And the fuckin monster trucks running 40" tires with 60" lifts. Bumper heights at about 5 ft. That shit doesn’t fly in MN. I got a ticket for not having fender flares covering at least half my rear tires on

Can confirm. Currently live in Sioux Falls and it’s crazy how many people drive SxS’s and four wheelers in the city. Pretty sure they need street tires to be legal tho. Most I see run radials. So weird looking. Not sure about lights/signals to be street legal as I see a lot without.

And it compares it to long-strand carbon fiber layups, where this is bulk fiber. Pretty clickbaity.

I didn’t know this group existed. Fair enough.

It is kind of cool. I make it to Aberdeen a few times a year, and I have to say that everyone I see riding on the roads seems to be doing it in a very mundane fashion. They’re just like any other traffic.
