As the owner of a mostly-original ‘61 Ford F100 4x4, I’m disappointed they dropped this on a Ram too. I like it, but not as much as I would if they had just restored the truck as it was from the factory, with some restomod improvements here and there. But that’s not ICON I guess.

Yeah, i’m used to seeing underbodies for frame off restorations like at Barrett Jackson so I’m not sure what one fresh from factory looked like.

Those complaints are older than most Harley-Davidsons out for sale.

I think you make a very good point regarding the way American history whitewashes these events. Some of them I knew about, particularly Rosewood. Others, I’d only heard of or didn’t know the details. But I also think there’s a dimension to the 2013 definition that’s meaningful here. The authors specifically state that

These massacres don’t fit into the mass shooting category as you defined at the beginning of the article. These massacres had very definite targets. The “mass shootings” we’re talking about don’t have clearly defined targets and purposes.

I just noticed your avatar, hahaha. Very appropriate.

Gee, if only there were some other way to protect the hearing of sportsmen firing weapons.

Yeah, the dealer tried that, but it was stuck solid in the Run position. But, on the bright side, it didn’t strand me!

Sorry, I should specify that his change “made it impossible to track this problem, leading to people getting killed”. You are absolutely correct that the undocumented change fixed the issue.

Would be a fun lowrider.

Pretty sure the bed was carpeted too.

The Blackwood combined all the drawbacks of a pickup and those of a luxury sedan, with the benefits of neither.

Is the VW system special compared to others? Genuinely asking.

I think what the Tremor really was, was a kind of last hurrah for the steel F-150's. Since it was in the steel truck’s final model year which also means Ford wasn’t going to spend too much on it either.

That’s the critical distinction—they have been marketing more toward a younger demo as well as to women (bigtime here!) but the image in everyone’s mind is a grizzled looking middle aged Sturgis guy wrapped in black leather. H-D, I think, has been careful to not alienate its core base whilst trying to reach out to

Oh no people will buy good cars the horror

This is why the SV 650 and SV 1000 bikes have such a large following. I’m done with the high strung inline fours. Something like the XR 1000 has the torque down low as well.

Good to know. I haven’t been on a Harley in 10 years. I will have to take one for a ride some time if I can. Though the next bike will probably be a Triumph Street Triple or Speed Triple

You may be right, but even at around 30 mph I still feel like I can’t breathe. I think I’m just so used to a full face, even a 3/4 feels weird to me. Plus with the bikes I have, I’d just look like even more of a dufus than I already do haha.

Versus the designation C/K x500 which was used also for the GMC Sierra Pickup (x being the weight class 1 being 1/2 ton to 3 being full ton, disclosure: I own a ‘96 K1500 Sierra). Badge engineering FTW ;)
