Yeah, the hate for Harley here is a little intense. There are plenty of assholes on Harley’s, but I’ve met countless Harley riders who are as nice as they come.

Looks like this debate got pretty heated, but I’ll throw in an opinion. There’s not one specific thing that makes someone standout as a “cosplayer”, it’s not what they ride, what they wear, how much they ride, how much time the spend cleaning etc. But you go to any bike event and there are people that are clearly only…
My recent used truck search showed that most of the first gen trucks were priced pretty comparably to any of the Big 3 trucks. I thought there was a well known issue with the first gens as well, something with the engine or trans, but from everything I read they seem to hold up well. If I could have found one…
Because a convertible isn’t a motorcycle, and a convertible doesn’t lean. These huge bikes aren’t exactly my cup of tea, but the more long trips I take the more appealing these become. Not once have I even considered a convertible because despite all of the apparent advantages, at the end of the day, it’s still not a…
That’s not how it works, once a bike is upright it takes very very little to keep it there, as long as you are tall enough to touch the ground (which with a bike this low basically everyone is) you’ll have no problems when you come to a stop. If it starts to tip a decent amount you’re gonna have a bad time, and it’s…
Do not start driving up 924 prices. I still regret selling mine and I desperately want another someday, gotta keep them cheap.
I for one am extremely excited to see what else Harley is going to release in the next few years. The price on the Livewire is really steep but it sounds like Harley really put forth the effort here to make a good bike. Hopefully they can gain some traction in the electric market and bring some of their other teased…
Its a little better on this one because it’s a bit more obvious that the up/down aren’t buttons. The new Silverado however is worse because at a quick glance (which is all you should be doing while driving) the up/down looks like they could still be buttons. Once you learn it, yeah it works fine, but it’s still a poor…
For nice flat surfaces I imagine it works a lot better, for things like panel seams though you’re never going to get the paint in far enough to cover everything and the rust is going to keep coming.
Rust comes back in like several months. When my truck started to rust I used this to try and slow it down. I’d wire wheel off as much as I could, spray a liberal coating of the rust reformer on then another coat of actual spray paint, or thick brush on rustoleum. A couple months later the rust would start coming…
I will give $20 to fund this idea. This needs to be made, immediately.
I just went through all this shopping for a new to me truck. It came close enough that payments on a brand new F-150, optioned exactly the way I wanted it were within $75 of a 5 year old truck with 90,000 miles, which seems crazy. However there is a difference between what I can afford, and what I’m willing to pay.…
I’m one of the oddballs that actually loves this generation of F-150. It was a huge departure from the squared off blocky generation before it, but it was a clean coherent design from the front to the back, and the face lift in ‘99 made it look even better. Plus it gave us the second generation Lightning, which is my…
The way I understand things is that the old body style trucks remained available, but only in double cab configuration until the new style double cabs were more readily available. These are listed as 2019's and classified as Silverado LD’s or Sierra Limited’s and are showing up on my local dealership lots.
Just the same as the F-series includes F-150/250/350, Ram includes the 1500/2500/3500 and Chevy does the same. At one point they were all basically the same truck with different suspension packages and that made sense. Those days are long gone, but the sales lumping remains the same.
For what it’s worth GM is also selling 2018's as 2019 classics, in both Silverado (Silverado LD) and Sierra (Sierra Limited) form. The regular cabs and double cabs are just starting to become available just as the Rams are. By 2020 I’d think they’ll both be done with the old body style.
I’ve been looking at new trucks and I’m upset that I’m forced into the pro backup assist with a couple of the features I want. I can back a trailer on my own thank you very much, I don’t want to pay for something that I feel I’ll never need.
That is true, however GM and Ram combine the 1500/2500/3500 sales as well.
I’ll believe that when I see it. Ram’s had all the right ingredients for years now yet they haven’t put out anything close to competitive with the Raptor and haven’t even shown much interest from what I can tell. I’m skeptical, but I’d welcome a Hell-Ram with open arms if they decide to build it.
