Where are all of these horrible bread scoopers?! I’ve never had this happen.

They still rule most of the midwest because the only other options are Subway (meh), Quiznos (?, can’t remember the last time I saw one), and Firehouse Subs (good, but not enough around). I’ve never even heard of Potbelly until this post. So yeah, JJ’s is still great in my book.
I’ve literally never had this happen, and I live in an area where JJ’s is the only quick, convenient, and acceptable sub shop around so I eat it fairly often. I also quite like JJ’s, but there are only 2 sandwiches that I’ll eat there, and adding bacon to them makes them %100 better.
Kinda. The 924 was the first, originally intended as a sporty VW, powered by an under powered Audi derived engine, but branded as a Porsche. Other more powerful Porsche derived engines were eventually installed, and around that time Porsche had updated the platform, which became the 944. Widebody fenders, those more…
This is a good plan. I love my 924, but I wouldn’t have it as an only vehicle. It’s been fairly reliable, but an old car is an old car and there’s usually something to fix. If you do end up getting one look up the cold start fix, which bypasses the usually bad cold start valve with a simple momentary switch and a few…
Thanks, it’s a little rougher than it looks in the picture, but for a South Dakota car with 180k miles it’s not all that bad.
Thanks! It was originally silver but at some point in it’s life someone painted it yellow. It’s a quick slap and dash paint job, but it sure does look good in yellow.
The 924's biggest flaw was lack of power. To give the unaware an idea, acceleration is noticeably better when going down a small hill, and noticeably worse with a passenger.
I kinda hope so, not that I can loose a lot on a $1300 car, but it would be awesome if they started climbing in value.
The S is ok, the base 924 is pretty damn slow and leaves you wanting for at least 20-30 more hp. Still a fun car to ring out and chuck around though.
I love my 924! I mean, if I had the means I’d rather have a 944 because it’s faster and looks better, but I love my 924! It really is a fantastic little car to drive, it could do with about another 20 HP, but I can ring the thing out everywhere I go and not worry about getting in trouble, and it’s really fun to chuck…
Noticed that too, there’s a place marked just around the corner from where I grew up, it might be a bicentennial homestead or something, but really it’s just an old farm place.
This is pretty cool but I feel like they overlooked a lot of places. In my little home town there are a couple of cool old buildings and bridges marked, but not the large gulch that the Jesse James supposedly jumped to escape the law. That’s practically what our town is known for and yet no marker. Makes me wonder…
Once the bad parking trend is started I can see how it continues, the next person sees the vehicle they’re parking next to and follows their example. In pictures like yours where the rows get crooked and caddywhompus it’s a bit more understandable, but in my example where they parked 3 deep, I can’t help but wonder…
Part of me hopes Ford ends up buying Jeep, but part of me is doubtful. They do have a history with Jeep (well, Willys actually), and just picture an aluminum, Eco-Boost powered Wrangler, that’s something I’d consider buying...
I’m always amazed at pictures like this. When I was at school one of the parking lots had a row of cars that was 3 deep, so the person in the middle was trapped. How that happens is beyond me. So stupid.
I have a couple personal rules when it comes to frozen bodies of water.
That reminds me, my wife just bought me a pack of Fig Newtons, now I can’t wait to go home and take down half that carton.
I get this with my 924. People see it, it says Porsche on it, it looks sleek, sports car-y, it’s a little loud (hole in exhaust), I get asked just about every time I mention I have a Porsche, “Is it fast?”, I chortle a little, “about as fast as 100 hp of pure German fury can be, so basically no”. But still, I love…
