Am I the only one who doesn’t really care for modern racing because I feel that it stifles innovation and focuses too much on driver skill, and not enough on who can build the best car?

I don’t really consider myself a redneck, but I grew up in South Dakota, dislike anything to do with a city, and with a name like Pickup_man, am probably considered a redneck by %95 of Jalopnik, and %99.99 of the Gawkerverse. So here! Have a star! *

After a bit of looking, just barely NP. Seems like these aren’t as spendy as I thought they used to be. Still this is a fairly clean example, and being a bit rare helps out it’s case. Sure it’s got some rust, but from where I’m sitting it looks like mostly surface rust, and not a lot of deep rot, a closer inspection

I agree that a lot can be improved, and I’m all for that, but there seem to be a lot of people out there clamoring for mass transportation everywhere and basically the elimination of cars, or at least the need for them. From reading the articles and comments from these type of people I get the feeling that they don’t

I don’t agree that it’s a sign of poor infrastructure and poor decision making. Sure that’s true for some places like big cities, but for the rest of the country it has everything to do with the large distances between places. I live in a small town of about 1,100 people, because I want to (and even then I don’t like

I fully believe that there is something buried on that island, but I’ve heard way to many theories at this point to believe it’s any one thing in particular. Honestly at this point I don’t care what it is, I just want them to find something. I’m getting really sick of the constant hype and let down of the show*. What

For sale, late 90's Dodge 2500, body and interior a little rough, has Cummins. $14,500 FIRM.

That’d be my guess.

I love how the header pipe perfectly follows the frame. Paint it black and you would hardly know it’s there.

I lived fairly close to home during college, about 45 minutes normally, and was home over Christmas/new years break, bored out of my mind. I wanted to go back up to school to spend new years with a buddy, but couldn’t decide whether to go or not, because the weather was supposed to get really bad. I himmed and hawed

Looks like we’re both kinda right, and kinda wrong, the supercharger came and went over the years.

Should have been more clear, first gen Harley Davidson Edition, which was from 2000-2004, used the supercharged 5.4, the second run of HD Edition trucks just used the standard 5.4.

Because it has HD badges on it. These were kick ass trucks that looked great, but because it says HD on it, it must be junk. Also Jalopnik doesn’t seem to like pickups for some stupid reason.

It comes with a 6.5' bed, so like every single other truck with a 6.5' bed, with the tailgate down a Harley should fit. Note that this is for the extended cab version only, the crew cab version will not fit a bike in the bed.

*flame suit on*

Essentially...kinda... The Lightning came in Reg Cab only, with the supercharged 5.4, and some suspension upgrades. The HD edition came with a slightly detuned supercharged 5.4, and was available in Extended Cab, or Crew Cab, and IIRC it didn’t come with the suspension upgrades.

The first generation was (00-04) I think the second gen was just an appearance/interior package.

I think it’s slightly detuned, something like 10hp, but yeah, Lightning 5.4. The second generation got rid of the supercharger all together though IIRC.

I’m not sure about the first generation (2000-2004), but I think it was an option on the second (2005-whenever they stopped making them)

I love these trucks, not necessarily for all of the HD stuff, (although I don’t mind it). I like them for the premium interior, the body kit and wheels that seem to fit the truck very well, and the supercharged engine. There are some fun little HD easter eggs on these trucks, like the shade dots on the windshield are
