This is true, but it’s also true that OG n64 games are basically unplayable on modern displays. Even properly scaled, the compressed textures are just a nightmare. I know there’s an HD pack out there already, but I’m looking forward to seeing what people can do with the native source code.

This game is so fucking cool and so hugely underrated. Obviously it’s not without its flaws but it inspired so much of the series, and the music in particular is off the charts.
