The Russian bots are out in full force in the comments. Zdravstvuj, comrades!

5 calls is awesome and Trump sucks.

A hyup. Basically 90% of FFXV is time-wasting filler fetch quests.

I’m referring to them as spineless fucks for not denouncing it. Telling him to ‘be cautious’ is not a condemnation.

Not sure where you’re seeing that they disagree with his Muslim ban. At worst, they told him to ‘be careful’ with it. Wouldn’t want to be too haphazard with your banning of a religion!

Spineless fucks. Not surprising from this industry.

I’d reply to you, but I’m busy searching for a game in the PSN store. G->O->F->...

People rightly give Nintendo shit for its online service, but PSN is only marginally better. Frankly if Friend Codes are the price to pay for not having shit like this, maybe we’d be better off.

First off, people aren’t illegal.

Second off, no one’s fighting against deporting undocumented people who are found guilty of murder. Nearly every sanctuary city I’m aware of has said they’ll fully comply for people convicted of series crimes.

What sanctuary cities (like Austin, which I’m a proud resident of) are

I think this is probably a decent move on their part. I mean, what is the endgame to opposing him? Even if you somehow derailed it, you’d just guarantee a worse nominee. At this point I’d honestly rather have an incompetent moron than a competent saboteur.

Woo, another decade-old port!

I’m all for changes in direction. There’s an argument to be made that Final Fantasy embodies changing direction—the very first sequel in the series was a pretty radical departure, at least as far as the battle system went, when they could have easily just remade the same game again and sold plenty of copies. I don’t

You said “The first half of the game was absolutely amazing.” I see absolutely no evidence of that, regardless of how many winky faces you’d like to respond with ;) ;) ;)

“The first half of the game was absolutely amazing, and proof-positive of what a solid update to the formula for XII could do for the franchise.”

Yes, I really loved driving twenty minutes to collect 2 potatoes for some diner owner. That’s really what Final Fantasy has always been about.

The entire point of journalism is to be adversarial. Otherwise it’s masturbatory. Sorry, but I’m not happy with “don’t worry, it’s coming DIRECT to you!” as an answer a month and a half before the console ships. Not after getting burned with their awful online support for the Wii, Wii U and 3DS. Not after literally

Keep holding on to that hope. Seems pretty obvious to me that “we have nothing to announce” is code for “no.” Nintendo has been awful at adding new features to their hardware platforms in the past decade. Am I the only one who remembers the disaster that was TVii?

Hey, Bernie Bros. Hillary $hills. Trump Deplorables. Jeb Exclamation Points! Here’s a small bit of advice that applies equally to all of you:

I mean, I literally said I’ve only played a quarter. More than possible that the game shits itself later on.

And yes, there are good open world games. They are very few and far between and even then I find them pretty lazy and boring. Even The Elder Scrolls series I find intensely dull, empty and often absurd.

Really,

Right, but dotting the massive landscape with treasure chests with 50 rupees isn’t really different from a sidequest that says “go here and come back and I’ll give you 50 rupees.” Enemy keeps aren’t any different than a quest that says “go destroy this enemy keep.”

And yeah, you can ignore them. You can ignore the

“A certain degree” is the key point here. Sure, you can argue that the first game was open-world as far as the overworld went, but it also had expertly designed dungeons and a sense of progression.
