Having sexist characters doesn't make the film sexist, try again mansplainer.

As a published writer, if you need to resort to sexism to tell a story, you are a fucking awful storyteller.
And you're not a bad person for criticizing her. You're a bad person for immediately having to jump to whining about not being allowed to criticize her on a story about her receiving legitimate death and rape…
Well, Kotaku, you certainly cultivate a fine readership when every single response to this article is "WELL I HATE ANITA SHE'S AWFUL AND STUPID AND WRONG AND AN IDIOT AND YOU SHOULD TALK ABOUT HOW STUPID AND WRONG SHE IS (oh and i guess people should stop making death threats or whatever) HEY LET'S TALK ABOUT HOW…
> If a male developer pocketed thousands and thousands of dollars through a Kickstarter, you don't think he'd get abuse?
#NotAllDebaters !!!
Haha, it was a little gratuitous, but so what? "I can store breath in my lungs." Yes, we all can. That is what lungs are for. And even though you can apparently exhale air instead of carbon dioxide, I'd still think the robots would detect that as "breathing."
You don't have to be a part of the "queer community" (whatever that is, there's not just one monolithic community) to increase visibility. Every little "Oh, I know a ____ person!" helps. Every time someone has to picture your face when they vote against your rights makes it that much harder.
She is the best. I'm glad more people are going to get to play BBS, since it's possibly the best game in the series.
Prudence is the fucking worst. He's not perfect by any means, but I hope Savage takes her to task on this bullshit, as he constantly offers the opposite advice.
Bisexual visibility. Non-straight visibility, even. It's harder to be bigoted toward non-straight people when you have non-straight friends and family.
Applying filters, save states, extra features, etc. are all great. They aren't the original experience on the original hardware. That's what people like me (and the awesome guys in this video) are after. No one is dissing emulators or saying that people shouldn't use them. But suggesting emulators to someone who is…
This video is intended for people who want to play games on the original hardware. For whom "close enough" is not really an option. So I'm not sure why emulators were even mentioned. It's like saying "Texas Roadhouse has decent prime rib!" on a video about aging your own steaks or something. Might be true, not really…
Oh absolutely. I'm all for emulators, and people playing great older games. I'm just saying that, for the people that they intend to watch this, the people who are going to spend $400+ on upscaling equipment, are the people for whom emulators don't quite cut it, even if the difference is minor.
No emulator is a perfect replication though. And as these guys point out, it's not quite the same as playing on original hardware.
Haha, I love how absolutely out of his element Matt Lees looks at that negotiation table. I watched this video a few weeks ago, and I think it's my favorite thing you guys have ever done. Keep up the good work!
"Also...kind of squicked by crazy, eternally tortured and sexually violated Sarah Newlin locked in the basement. I mean...fuck."
But she totally deserved it! Because unlike Eric or Pam, she was an asshole that one time!
Was it, though? It was like "Eric and Pam are rich and rule the world now!" Which was fun, until like the very next scene was "...And they're still running a shitty bar in a shitty no-name little southern town for some reason."
I'm fucking terrified by this as a future parent. I guess I can hope that since I wear a ton of shirts with women on them (Rose Tyler, Princess Peach FTW), any future son I have would at least be a little bit inoculated against this gendering bullshit.
I don't know how true it is, but one of my favorite anecdotes to come out about him recently is that Aladdin was denied a Best Original Screenplay nomination because Williams ad-libbed so much of his part that it wasn't even recognizable.
