As an Austin resident, I can't really disagree with you. I think the city itself is inclusive and friendly, but it's still weird to say we're one of the ten most gay-friendly city when you can't get married here, but you can get married in literally any city in, say, Massachusetts.

A spoiled white teenager making racist jokes? SHOCKING!

Ugh, what sort of lesbian shitass would you have to be to do something like that?

"Like, what is a "RuneScape"?"

Haha, oh my god. Run. Run far away.

I think when people post naked pictures of themselves for others to look at / masturbate to, objectification is okay :-) The problem is not that objectification is inherently and always bad; it's being objectified all the time, even when not desired, that's the problem.

Though, again, there are some more radical

Again, I get excited about plenty outside of video games. The reason I'm still invested in video games is:

1) There are piles of retro games I adore

2) There are occasionally modern titles that I think are fantastic

3) I think the medium of video games has an absurd amount of untapped potential

Nope. People calling themselves egalitarian are some of the most sexist motherfuckers I've met. Feminism is gender equality. There is no other term for it.

Feel free to actually read something about feminism rather than just visiting Reddit, though. Oh, and do it somewhere outside this comment thread. I have better

Ha, well, my hobby is mostly playing older video games at this point. But I didn't mean to imply that the state of the industry makes me wholly depressed — just depressed about video games. And I *want* to be excited about video games. I want to be n64 kid, but sadly those days are mostly gone.

E3 (or more accurately, the build up) is pretty much the only time I have to get legitimately excited about video games as a whole. The rest of the year (with some rare exceptions) is almost always disappointment with the games themselves, and frustration with the culture. I'll take the week or two of wondering if

"And here I thought feminists said it was the porn itself that was misogynistic."

Uh, no. Feminists are very divided on that issue. Plenty of sex-positive feminists (which includes me) are supportive of pornography / erotica in general (though it's basically inarguable that the mainstream porn industry is abhorrent).

Ugh, to me it smacks of the neckbeardy "m'lady" type of chivalry/sexism. But to each his own.

At the same time, no matter how much money you have, you're still a human being. You can still be hurt even by random words on the Internet.

I kinda doubt it but I guess we'll see.

"The whole "Scrolls" thing has to do with IP protection. If they don't lodge a dispute (which was then put aside) it sets a precedent that they are not prepared to protect their IP from future would be imitators. That would mean that should someone come up with an actual Elder Scrolls knock off they would not legally

On July 17, 2012, ZeniMax improved the optics calibration for its DOOM 3: BFG Edition video game, and in doing so discovered that the Rift's optical calibration was off-center. ZeniMax suggested solutions to correct the Rift's optics calibration. Luckey later admitted that the calibration was "a lot more off than I

Seems pretty self-explanatory to me.

Ah, so you're just bitter about being terrible with words. Sorry about that, did I trigger you?

For the record, science only exists to facilitate the arts. And I say that as a scientist :-)

Not every school, sadly. And not really re: the tapering off, as plenty of kids wait until their last year to fulfill their gen ed requirements. It is fun to watch people who excel at, oh, volume integration, flail when they attempt to do basic literary analysis or coherent writing. The best part of college is keeping
