I thought the middle act was fine, but I agree it was the bookends that really dampened my feeling of the film. The fairy tale construction of his character, the fairy tale conclusion, they just didn't do anything for me.

The problem, growing up in a military tribe myself but not electing to serve, is that it amounts to just more larding up of a bad idol. Chris Kyle wasn't killing in the name of our freedoms, he was killing because he loved killing people and people cheered him for it. Many of the conservative military folk I know,

I've only read the first volume of Sex Criminals so far, but it is fantastic. What blows me away is just how realistic the exploration is and how genuine their relationship feels. That and it is genuinely fucking funny. Holy shit.

_I_ do.

Interstellar was a good movie, not a great one and certainly not worth anything more than any technical awards it got nom'ed for.

Yeah, but those were pretty minimal cutaways. The live-action component is substantial in Lego Movie.

If Everything is Awesome doesn't win Best Original Song, they'll never overcome snubbing the film for Best Animated Feature.

Fuck yeah, LEGO!

Moby's "Play". Still my favorite disc of his.
