“... That’s what you’ve taken away from the last few days? Voting?”
“... That’s what you’ve taken away from the last few days? Voting?”
Not so fast. The point here isn’t that Maviglio doesn’t deserve the right to be a landlord. It’s that he’s completely tone-deaf. Any white person who has any understanding of what’s happening right now would know to just keep his mouth shut.
“I am looking for another job, as twelve years employed in a hospital system means nothing when faced with such inconsiderate and infuriating circumstances....”
Yeah, it’s like Sunday’s incredibly powerful and sad NYT front page- the people who don’t give a shit don’t read the NYT.
There’s a quick scene in this movie, where we see Clarice walking through the airport after her first visit with Lector. She looks defeated, walking like a zombie, a blank look on her face.
“... Aunt Becky and the Target Mossimo won’t serve that much jail time, and at this point, please, it’s fine, just go away...”
I’m sorry that happened to you, it sucks. And I think your husband’s advice is correct. But it’s hard when you’ve spent so much of your life and especially formative years (which I think college is) building that relationship.
This is such bullshit.
“...and also, as a Libra, I do not like it when people are mad at me...”
I get that you’re posting this story because any celebrity that talks about such batshit crazy/inaccurate medical views needs to be called out, but today I’ll be the one to volunteer to ask the same question that gets asked every time you post a story about Julianne Hough:
I’m by no means trying to justify your partner’s actions, but I’m guessing that if he’s a nurse or doctor at a hospital then he’s used to getting interrupted while trying to do his job also :-).
I’ll always remember Little Richard’s remarkable small role as Orvis Goodnight in the iconic 80s movie “Down and Out in Beverly Hills.” One of the finest monologues ever put to film.
“...something that communicates to the world that they care about fashion just enough to button a shirt, but not enough to choose something even remotely original....”
Good points, thanks!
I already feel like someone’s dad, lol. I have no real problem with Jos A Banks for suits and ties (except it feels too stodgy?), but J Crew had everything else too (underwear, socks, jeans, shoes, etc.) in an 800 sq. ft. space, which I like.
This is a bummer for me, actually. All the complaints about price and the decline in quality over the years is true. But as a guy looking for sport coats, button-downs, and ties a few times a year, J. Crew was my go-to just as it was for a lot of my friends. And a lot of my friends would joke about sending their “style…
OMG, I’m sorry -- I didn’t get the joke. Hats off to you, sir.
“...Papa Cooper’s precious seed. Cute....”
Exactly. Her work appeals to a very specific demographic (I’d say the suburban white Karen/ “live laugh love” demographic) who probably already have her coffee table book and aren’t looking to pay for more of it. Maybe if her work didn’t cost as much as she claims, the Hallmarks and LifeWays of the world would be more…
It’s the Mayo Clinic, where they treat greatly immunocompromised cancer patients. The patients there didn’t ask him to show up, ignore policy and breathe on them.
