I’ve never really cared for exposed exhaust tips, especially ones that need constant cleaning. Hidden exhausts are where it’s at and when the e38 7-series came out, it really illustrated that automotive design didnt have to have them to look good.

I in the airfreight industry. I read in some industry paper a few years ago that the market could easily accommodate 10-12 AN225s. 

Assuming rebuilding this one plane would create thousands of jobs is a bit much. Antonov as an entity would as they rebuild, and I’m sure they’ll have support doing so, but the An-225 would be primarily a vanity project. Which is fine, but it needs to be seen in that context.

The money from everyone getting jobs in construction or agriculture will probably take care of that. That is literally gonna be the thing driving the economy for the next ten-twenty years once Russia is kicked out, plus the money spent from ordinance disposal charities funding teams to locate and defuse all the mines…

The company can’t afford to rebuild it and has launched a crowdfunding campaign to see it happen. However, given the conditions of the country right now that money would probably be better spent on supporting the people.
