My best friend is a 5'3" tiny woman, and she runs all the time. Once she was alone and a dude on his bike smacked her ass. So she shoved him off his bike and yelled, "THAT'S WHAT YOU GET FOR NOT WEARING A HELMET, ASSHOLE!!!" and then ran off.

I'll be the curmudgeon that says it. I hate shit like this. Why do you need an audience?!

I would've looked at him square in the eye and told him that if he ever wanted to have sex with women, he'd better grow up really fucking quickly because if he thinks that a box of new tampons is gross, he'll probably end up lopping off his dick if it ever went near a vagina. Since, y'know, that's where the blood

Not essential items? I say for 1 month all women boycott menstral products. We don't wear 'em. We leave pools of blood on subway seats, clots on the seats in restaurants, and splotches on the benches in malls and parks. Yup we walk around with big red stains on our clothes, we bike around with blood trickling down

Not gonna lie.. this actually made me tear up. When I saw the little girls run with all their might I got a little choke up. Mostly because I would have done exactly what the first kids did if prompted, and I realize how fucked up that is.

The tracklist for Thicke's next album:

This video is creepy as fuck and can't believe he would do something like this. The entire album, the track names everything...? If this is a sincere effort to "get her back" it's basically a how-to on abuser dynamics. Rather than reconcile in private, he's now enlisted the public to get on his side to pressure her

So many white people are offended by this and are chiming in with their own "when I lived in asia" or "when I lived in Japan" stories.

I think it is the right decision to treat a child as the gender they assign themselves to, if they are 'persistent, consistent and insistent ' as you wrote above and to then block puberty until the child is mature enough to make a final decision, what bothers me here is that the parents chose to inform the world

I do find it interesting the degree to which Ryland's rejection of socially constructed gender signifiers were interpreted as proof of his identity as a boy. Obviously there was more to it than that, as the parents say that he said he is a boy, his sister's brother, etc., so I do not intend to object to his

I believe Wonder Womaahn is referring to the labelling of the child as "transgendered" long before any real concept of what gender is or how it applies to them can exist in the child's mind.

One thing I find very interesting is, in so many of these stories, the families seem to adhere to a rigid idea of what a girl or a boy should look like or do. My son puts on a dress or my daughter wants a mohawk? It would be no big deal. They announce one day they want to be called by the other gender? I'd do it.

There is a whole lot of information missing here but my first impression is that it's really sad that we live in such a restrictive gender specific world where a cis girl can't enjoy baseball, soccer, playing drums etc without her parents thinking there's something wrong and that those things are SO boy specific. I

A point and a recommendation.
