Ze planes. He also hung one upside down from the great room ceiling in his former Eastern Shore palace. That one sold for 8 digits. His wife must be super tolerant. Whatchadoin? Hanging a plane in the house. Lovely dear.

Have you looked at the rest of the house? It shrieks “new money that wants to be taken for old money.” It’s like Laura Ashley vomited all over a Disney version of Monticello.

When creepy people with money do silly things to their houses...the best part is this guy will insist he gets every dime out [plus “appreciation”] for his street-basement ‘experience’ that undoubtedly cost $150K+ to create. My prediction is this house will be on the market for a decade plus until the owner dies and

How else are you going to keep a dozen of “hot now” Krispy Kremes at peak freshness?

Pretty Asian car generic. Not ugly, but hardly beautiful. Just inoffensive, safe, and not very memorable.

Hybrid systems are very reliable and reduce wear and tear on brakes.

Now that hybrids have been around a long time I don’t recall hearing any breakdown issues with them. If anything they preserve the ICE parts quite a bit. The cost is a very real concern however.

I'll buy one.

No, I was hoping that was the case. I hope once the tech gets there and companies get their ass in gear people won’t be too hesitant to adopt. I would hate to go back to a non-hybrid/electric, it really grew on me. Not that I would say no to an occasional spirited drive in a Corvette or something ridiculous (sadly I’m

Oh and you couldn’t make me buy one but I wouldn’t buy a diesel like the one in your picture , Prius killer my ass .

If it had the same range as the ice I would maybe buy the electric . I can work on the old stuff not so sure about fixing an electric . Except for worrying about range and battery life I would try the electric . Not the answer you expected is it ? And I still say coal rollers are ass monkeys .

Good thing nobody is making you buy one. Serious question, if you had the choice between a fully electric truck or standard ICE of exactly equal performance and cost (not saying this exists yet), which would you choose?

Yeah! Fuck the environment! Fuck progress! Cheap gas is a Jesus-given right!!!

LOL! ‘if’

Ballistics resistance? So, you’re telling me that the one bright spot in JLR’s business portfolio—the one part of their market that is consistently profitable, despite a globe-spanning pandemic and international economic catastrophe—is making armored cars for oligarchs and tyrants, people so hated that merely to leave

I’m convinced that most major corporations are just a house of cards — nothing more than accounting tricks to keep their heads barely above water while the executives enrich themselves. Tap one little card at the bottom and everything comes crashing down, except for executive salaries of course. Gotta take care of

If they quit going to Starbucks and eating avocado toast every morning they would be just fine. They just need to get a 2nd or 3rd job and pull themselves up by their boot straps.

To me, it seems pretty fucked up that all of these large corporations run into difficulty so soon after a negative economic event(I claim rights to that term) that their existence becomes untenable.

The customs company payout was factored in already; the wire just hasn’t been sent yet.

They were OK - they were behind that protective fence.
