Everyone seems to always hate on these kind of oddball cars but to me they are great. Kudos to them for having some fun. I just wish they would inject some soul and character into their normal cars.

Been there seen it.

I was living and working in Afghanistan. One morning I was entering my office and there was an old maroon Land Cruiser just like this parked outside. I noticed it had a faded dealer sticker on it still; it was from the small Toyota dealer in the rural area where I grew up. I’d probably SEEN it before, but in the US.

On the CH-R I think that color is actually interesting and pleasant looking. Props to the owner for getting something different and fun instead of a soul-crushing beige RAV4.

Hopefully they are less flammable.

Yeah when I looked at the picture of the first gen RAV4 my first thought was, “that WAS actually kind of a cool, surprisingly capable car and certainly the best looking out of all the iterations, but you know what else it needs? A healthy dose of sexism and homophobia.” Thankfully the comments have not disappointed...

I know a lot of rich people. They tend to be assholes. Otherwise they wouldn’t be rich as it’s hard (but certainly not impossible) to get THAT wealthy these days and not have ethically comprised yourself in many fundamental ways.
