@Pwnage: Considering you can get a wifi router on Amazon for $10, it's the least they could do.

My cable company has a local monopoly on broadband, so there's not a lot one can do to reduce that bill. (The alternative is 3mbps DSL) But with television, the magic word is "satellite". You even mention that you're thinking about considering a look at satellite television and your bill gets cut in half. (FYI…
@ps61318: Sigh. My feelings exactly! The internet as we know it is screwed.
@CatsAkimbo: Crap, you beat me to it by two minutes! Shouldn't have included a lengthy comment along with...
Sigh. TI.
@cynic783: Ditto that. I didn't know anybody was having problems, but I noticed the Chrome support some time this spring and it's been working great ever since. Still works right now, Chrome 8.0.552.224, Win7 x64
@Feyhra: My thoughts as well. And of course EJO will have no part in this show if aliens are involved.
That's pretty cool that they are actually airing the Xmas special in America the same day (spare a few time zones) as it airs in the UK. Now if only they broadcast in HD, and you know, I was still paying for the premium cable package that included BBCA. I wonder how quickly it'll get pushed to Amazon Video. Last year…
Ditto on the Zoom H1 recommendation. I've tried Tascam, Panasonic, M-Audio, and Yamaha field recorders and the Zoom is by far the best sample quality you will get for $100.
@HalLumos: There's an Android VM that comes free with the Android SDK. It's pretty terrible though, absurdly slow bootup time and even on my i7 desktop it performs worse than the G1. Running it on a netbook would be hell.
I tried Virtual PC along with the free Windows XP disk image that is shipped with Windows 7 Pro. Only took about three hours of fist-pounding frustration before I switched back to VirtualBox.
@McKenzie with a Y: It is rather awkward, but not as awkward as saying Nexus S. Two 'S' sounds in a row? Agckh!
@mblase75: I think you're probably right. Apparently the subway cars have an uncanny resemblance to these lamps.
I Lamp NY? WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN???
Too bad they can't recommend the CR48 for Netbooks yet. I've owned two other netbooks in as many years, and tested about a dozen, this is hands down the best - what a Netbook should be. I only just bought an Asus T101MT in November, now that I have the ChromeBook, I'm selling the Asus on eBay and swallowing the loss.
Even without the keyboard, I still think I'd go with the G2 over the NS. No RFID reader or front camera, but for some reason I just trust HTC's hardware more than Samsung's. And it'll have Gingerbread very shortly.
Didn't you read Io9's review? SATC2 was a sci-fi after all!
Woweee wow wow wow. That is smooth! Don't have any 3D stuff around me but the entire UI has really been cleaned (& spiffed!) up.
@TheCaptain: Instant Payment only applies to Buy It Now, not regular bid auctions.
Been doing the IP hide for awhile to watch Doctor Who clips/trailers at the BBC site. Works sometimes....
