I haven't seen a single comic book movie since, I don't know, Superman 2. Not Iron Man, not Spiderman, not The Watchman, hell not even Dark Knight. (Ok so the last two, probably am not doing myself a favor by neglecting to Netflix them). But I really want to see this Avengers film now. Joss is da man.

Seaquest ftw.

@smashing: I knew what you meant. And I've been particularly tolerant of typos lately after my favorite keyboard was spilled on.

@smashing: Likely? Probably not. But fracking awesome? Absolutely.

@MajorMattMason: New Frontier from The Nightfly was, not necessarily dystopian, but incredibly dark in contrast to the music itself. But who doesn't love listening to Brubeck in a bomb shelter?

That's the stuff of nightmares right there. Actually it kind of reminds me of the earwig thing that crawled into Chekov's ear in Wrath of Khan.

@FriedPeeps: I thought about getting a Nook for awhile because of its cost, e-ink screen, and fact that it runs Android. But it doesn't allow Android Market apps or anything of your own, so the Kindle/Borders apps wouldn't run. Boo.

@iAmWillJ: That's a fantastic upload speed for $20/month. I currently pay $45/month for 12down/1up. I know I'm getting ripped off but it's the only broadband ISP in town.

"Kill All Humans" will always be my favorite of these signs but they are all fantastic.

@bigtimes: I agree with you in principle, but my largest argument against ebooks is that I can't collect them on shelves around my flat to make me look smart.

What this says to me is: Buying any flavor of ereader will alienate you from potential content sources, so buy a multifunction device running iOS or Android. Or you know, buy real books. Whatever.

Their PCs/Notebooks are a crapshoot but Dell has always made really solid mobile hardware (see: Every Axim ever), it'll be interesting to see what they and Asus (who's very new to the mobile world) bring to the table.

I know her character is generally considered a scrappy but I quite like Rodriguez in Lost. I was seriously ticked off when she got killed.

So this is basically a desktop easel that costs $35 more than a wooden version?

I can't say this is a large surprise. The handset on Verizon would be a big deal because that would mean Apple re-engineered their hardware to work with CDMA networks, but people have been jailbreaking eBay iPhones and sticking a T-Mo SIM inside for years now.

Ugh, Oct 12! Lost ended hardly a month ago and the boxsets are coming in a few weeks. Dollhouse ended in January, and we're waiting for nearly a year. Sigh.

@AcidSpoon: Sorry forgot about you guys. The cliq is a lot easier to root I hear - there's even a stable Eclair build if you're up for reflashing. (check AndroidSpin.com) But those old gen-1 Samsungs are near impossible root and not heavily supported by the dev community.

@Nick Burns, Your Company's Computer Guy: I've been testing some Adobe AIR applications on 2.2 for a few days and it ain't bad. But those are pre-compiled, I shudder to think how Flash might perform.

@AlphaJarmel: An intern's hours are probably better.
