@warezIbanez: My guess is that they use a generic regular expression filter that removes all but the A/B/I/U tags , and nobody's ever thought to include strike.

@Hunter2458: Do you not read a person's comment before replying to it? My final edit was made wellllll before you replied.

There's no media remote for the PS3 like there is for the 360? That really sucks. Like sucks enough for me to not buy one as my BD player.

@PN - goopplesoft: That's likely because your ISP is throttling the connection (so they can make you pay for a faster one). Fiber optic cable has a theoretical speed of over a gigabit/s, though the effective maximum speed also depends on how long the cable is between hubs.

In Iowa I'm about as landlocked as is physically possible for an American. So no there was no boardwalk gaming. But plenty of gaming, yes. Sort of. Well, specifically, writing games - my parents thought video games themselves were intellectually beneath their offspring, and so would never purchase consoles or games

I wonder if they'll still be selling ADP2's direct to developers. I was planning on buying one for software testing sometime before the end of the year. Guess there's always eBay.

I've got an R4i cartridge I'm not super happy with. The SNES emulation is pretty bad and a few of my backups just don't work at all. Think it might be time to upgrade to SuperCard

@dataPOG: Reminds me of the latest Red Dwarf special - in the future, everyone has switched back to VHS cassettes because it became impossible not to lose DVD's, resulting in billions of empty disc cases. Ha.

@KillerBee: I racked my brain for the last time I saw a cathode ray tube display somewhere, I honestly think it's been years. We were completely switched to LCD at the office sometime in 2003, I took my last CRT television to Goodwill in '08, and even all the bars/restaurants I visit have switched to LCD/plasma.

Screw all the predictions,

I just looked up Romans 9:13, it says "Just as it is written: 'I loved Jacob, but E'sau I hated."

I'm pretty glad Apple lost this bid. Can you imagine the patent monster they would have become?

@JeffPom: Don't let this terrible mess of a phone sour you off all of Android, there are much nicer contenders. The Samsung Galaxy S, even with its Touchwiz interface, is much prettier (in fact, rather iOS esque, to the disdain of many Android users). HTC's Evo with Sense and the now aged Nexus One share a similar

I'm not certain if the Droid 2 has this same eFuse chip, but on ethical grounds, the news for X owners has sealed my purchase of a Samsung Galaxy S. Samsung has actually released the source code to their custom flavor of Android and made it incredibly easy to flash your own rom (like as easy as the G1). I predict a

@elementary: Thank Zarquon I'm not the only one who hates syncing. Let me plug the device in and manage the file system myself, thank you!

I can understand why people would want to downgrade from Vista, but seriously, a pass on 7? I've been using MacOS since version 6, Windows since 3.1, and nearly every Linux distro under the sun - Windows 7 is hands-down the best operating system I've ever used. When my beta expired I actually wanted to give Microsoft

@Saturnine: I bought the arcade because I could get a 120gb drive on ebay for $50. Considering I rarely want the games that come bundled, after getting the console for $179 and a harddrive for $50, I saved $70 for the same stuff that comes in the Elite package. Not exactly chump change.

I've got an 8-year-old Epson flatbed scanner that came with a tray I could insert negatives into. I think it cost $70, and it's 1600dpi, so is this DIY solution not just absurd overkill?
